Hi there. I'm an easy going guy, who works hard through the week and enjoys spending time keeping fit, eating out, catching up with mates and being out and about rather than sat in front of the tv. I'm too old for lads holidays. I'd like to meet someone similar. Bar/pub

Hi, thanks for looking at my profile. I enjoy cycling, tinkering with computers and watching sci-fi films. I am a bit of a geek but I do try and appear normal, though I will still occasionally slip a random film quote into a conversation. I like most forms of music from dance, rock through to classical, though it's been a while since I've been to a gig. I'm a fairly fit and have taken part in charity cycle rides from Land's End and John O'Groats in the last two years. Next year I'm climbing Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and will have to dig my boots out of the cupboard and start training pretty sharpish! I'm currently involved in a highly scientific study investigating whether saying pineapple stops you sneezing. The results look good so far. My other experiment involves attempting to resurrect a bonsai tree that I keep forgetting to water. My friends would probably describe me as quiet - I am quite shy when I first meet people but eventually open up once I get to know them. My perfect match would be a girl who is smart, funny and easy to talk to, with a bit of a geeky side and can also put up with the occasional James Bond quote. At some point I'll think of something witty to put here that will *** myself to you. Till then, that'll have to do. Probably go for a quiet drink in a nice little café or pub, just talk and get to know one another.

I'm a whole-hearted decisive kind of person, with a real appreciation and focus for the joyful and beautiful things in life. I'm quite successful in my work but always ambitious for more and I enjoy setting myself challenges and goals. I'm new to this online dating lark and I'm keen to see what's out there and find someone to spend time with who makes me smile and laugh. I love my friends but I feel you can never have too many, and at the very least would hope to broaden that circle through meeting new people. I love most music (particularly rockier stuff), films and especially books on all subjects, i like to learn something new every day. I suppose my ideal day or weekend would involve scrambling up mountains all day then laughing and joking in the pub all evening. Something simple for a first date, just a few drinks perhaps, with maybe something more exciting for a second or third date.
