Hi - this is me looking for u! Actually looking for a "u" to hang out with, I look forward to new adventures but am content walking along the shore looking for beach-glass. I also work away at crossing off items from my bucket list. Most recently I took part in the New Year's Polar Bear Swim and went for my first motor-cycle ride. Loved it. ! I would like to try the Zip-Line,Water - I have 3 grown children- " Whew, made it" and I have had the good fortune to spend a great deal of time in the mud and dirt with my grand-son. I also have a new grand-daughter that I look forward to being a Nanny to.I like to travel but also enjoy the adventures that can be had close to home.I enjoy the opportunities and pleasures of all the seasons.-son and golf. In the winter - nothing better then bundling up and getting out into the snow, cross-country -skiing, snow-shoeing or building the biggest snow-man in the neighborhood. The spring sees me in a garden in my PJ's , dirty, walking and exploring local green-houses, and in the summer I hang out at the beach, music festivals and I love to kayak.I love to listen to all types of music, from Rock to Blues, Bluegrass to Classical - it's all good. I play the guitar, and am just gaining the confidence to play around others. My toes are always tapping and as a result I love to go dancing. There is nothing more magical then 2 people being in perfect sync on the dance-floor. ( especially when one of them is me).So if you love to sing at the top of your lungs when no-one is watching, , like the smell of clean sheets off the clothesline, can put up a clothesline, love the first bite of freshly baked cookies out of the oven, can share in the baking of the cookies in the oven ! love a good belly-laugh and,.. after taking a step forward, then back-wards you optimistically call it the, " Cha,cha, cha,... then" You get a line and I'll get a pole, and we'll go fishin' in the crawlfish hole,...."Happy Fishing. I have been on this site (not that it is any different from the others) for about a month, but I am learning that the words you use are the only thing that strangers can look at and judge weather they are interested in you. I myself am not so good with words or expressing feelings so we have to adjust for this.The other thing I noticed is that we over 50 have had a life time already and it is very hard to express this to others but I know that we can all find someone that could make a good friend if not a good intimate mate. I find it difficult to share my feelings and I think it would be easier to just stay single and live alone, but then again....So the rest of my profile remains the same.....I am easy going, sarcastic and independent. I was born in NL and raised in Cape Breton so I have a great sense of humor. I love a good laugh, you know with tears in your eyes! I still feel like I am 40 and have no intentions of slowing down. I have a full time job that I really like. I like doing renovations and can do just about anything with a house. I love old architecture and restoring the old buildings. I recently started using herbal medicines and find it very interesting. I enjoy live concerts, photography, gardening, sewing, knitting, auctions, flea markets, yard sales. In fact most of my furniture is either hand made or purchased at auctions. I used to ski and sail a lot when I lived in Rothesay, NB and miss it very much. Looking for people to share walks, go camping, skiing, sailing and beaches.I should say that I am a vegetarian, no meat in my diet, it's just cruel, but some of my friends still eat meat, so....I do not enjoy loud things like 4 wheelers & snowmobiles. I prefer hiking, cross-country skiing, beaches, etc. I do not think about what type of person I am or what type of person I am looking for. What I describe myself as may not be what you would say, and vise versa. I would need to have conversations with a person before I can say that I am interested in meeting you. I can say for sure that you need to be a honest person and a happy person. I do not care if you dig ditches for a living or have a six figure job, that is not important to me.If you asked me what I believe in I would say myself and man kind. I like using some of the ten commandments as I think that they are a good goal for people to strive towards.
