About Me

I don't know about other people, but I feel like I'm going cross-eyed from reading so many profiles. So here's the short version...if you want the details keep reading! 1. I'm a teacher and I love it. 2. I enjoy a good adventure- traveling, scuba diving, bungee jumping...maybe sky diving one day 3. I like cooking (but cooking for one is boring!***. Sports are fun- I make a great spectator 5. I prefer bars over clubs- but a night in with friends sounds great too. 6. I'm looking for something long term. If that's not you, maybe it's best to stop reading. Of course you want to know more- so here's the expanded version! I'm originally from the midwest (but my family has moved a lot) and have been living in Boston for almost 13 years. I teach high school English (teenagers, I know! But, I love them). Teaching takes a lot of energy but the students make every minute worth it. They simultaneously keep me young and make me want to pull my hair out. I love to travel. Cliche? Maybe but definitely true. I wouldn't be the person I am today if it hadn't been for my travels. I've had a lot of opportunities to see different places around the world. I just got back from a three week trip to Europe (5 countries, 7 cities!!). I've been to six of the seven continents and I've gone Scuba Diving off of 5 of them. I guess its time to start planning my trip to Antarctica (but I highly doubt I will be going diving down there!) My friends would tell you I am loyal to a fault, I am driven and ambitious, I'm very generous and I'm always trying to give people the benefit of the doubt. I would also add that I am a romantic at heart.
