An ideal first date to me would be casual and/or something fun and spontaneous. I feel kind of awkward sitting down to a fancy meal with someone I've never met in person before. I think something fun and spontaneous creates a more relaxed atmosphere where two people can get to know each other better without all the nervous jitters. And then if that goes well maybe a casual dinner to follow would be nice :)
