My friends and colleagues would say I am honest and hard working (a little too much), a good listener (but a better talker) and do anything for anyone (well most, definitely not a pushover), I take positives from negative situations (it's all a learning curve) and use brackets too much when I write. I've had an extraordinary life up to now, more than most do in their whole lives and I still approach each day with excitement... Traveled round the world in my 20's. Definitely not a go with the flow person, where's the excitement in that? I'm thinking of buying a canal boat to live on. I collect art and books, but I'm far from materialistic, learning and creativity are something that I would find attractive. I run artists studios and a couple of galleries and am also a practicing artist. I love getting up everyday... I live a happy and rewarding life and would like to share this with someone. You will already be doing this or at least strive to. I like art previews, networking, cinema, theatre, books (mainly art), and pubs. I know I've mentioned the pub a few times in this profile, but I'm not a big drinker, it's more of a social thing... After getting rid of my vinyl in the early 90's for CD's, I'm now going back to vinyl. Favourite tune of all time has to be 'Sympathy for the Devil' by the Stones.Favourite books 'Master and the Margarita' by Mikhail Bulgakov and Dharma Bums by Jack Kerouac. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read at least the beginning of my profile, feels a bit like trying to sell myself but will persevere. I have been on the site before and met some really nice people, and sadly some not so, but thats life.I have reached a stage in my life where I would rather regret something I didn't do than something I did, hence the fact that I am working my way through my bucket list as quickly as funds allow, lots of things still left to do! I would like a partner to also have that adventurous spirit, I have a job I very much enjoy and relish the opportunities I have to travel. The bands I like are Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode, OMD, Eagles, Ultravox, Green Day, Alison Moyet, Pink Floyd, Simple Minds, so you may have gathered that I'm a bit of an 80's throwback, guilty as charged! I have two boys who live with their mother who are a big part of my world, but I see them less as they get older, Dad has become a bit uncool it seems, the aged rocker look is not in apparently.As to what I am looking for, I would like someone who is willing to share life's wonders and experiences, good and bad and who isn't afraid to venture out of their comfort zone, some common interests would be good, couch potatoes need not apply, in return they would receive as many hugs and kisses as one woman could stand and hopefully a friend to share their troubles with.
