I love the outdoors. Spending time hiking, biking and running are some of my favorite things to do. It could be in a vast county side or downtown of a major city...it does not matter. I truly love to explore new cultures, foods and ways of living. I am open to anything that is positive and brings a refreshing feeling. I am unique because of my outlook and perception of life. I find the duality of Eastern philosophy very interesting even though I do not practice any formed religion. I believe we need to cherish our body, mind and spirit but in the reverse order. My taste in music is wide open and unlimited. Most of the CD's I own are groups that no one has ever heard of. On a first date I would probably be inclined to go for a lunch or coffee to be safe and so that both parties don't end up waisting their time. However, if sparks fly a second date would be much more detailed with maybe going to a wine tasting art show followed by a nice dinner and hopefully a kiss good night!

I've been divorced for well over 4 years. I'm quiet by nature but generally straight forward. I don't require a lot of conversation. I'm more about action(s). Communication and conversation are important but talk is cheap. I am very, very spontaneous at times. I have a regular work schedule and other obligations I've volunteered myself for. My work schedule is ***days a week.I don't feel every minute or days off in my life require absolute planning. It's nice to just "go" once in a while. I like a reasonable variety of activities. Too many to list and too many to continually do them all on any type of regular basis. Some kid related like, roller skating, parks/play grounds. Some things I haven't done in years like canoeing. Other things that some may be more familiar with, bowling, bicycle riding, bonfires. Even just sitting at home.I like a variety of music to a degree. Depends on the music and how it's put together. Worst songs are the ones with great construction but not so great lyrics. Country music is not a favorite. I'm not a sports fan if it's on television. I don't mind going to see an event live once in a while though. My profile says I drink socially. I drink rarely to none.Coffee has been my primary beverage since the age of 14 or so with a reasonable variety of other beverages here and there. I do attend church regularly and have a daughter in my life where every thing I do will affect her long term as well. Children are an absolute major consideration since they rely on parents to set examples and guide them through so much. of course, it doesn't mean they'll listen until it's too late. My youngest is 9. I don't have an ideal "mate" in mind. I don't view any of this as "take out" where everything is MY way. I'm not perfect or going to squeeze myself into some one Else's ideals and don't expect it of any one either. If "standards" and "trust" have replaced "Etiquette" and "Respect" in your views, please don't waste our time. Standards and trust don't exist with out the foundations they are built on. Every thing requires work and it takes 2 people to make that happy medium.Thank you if you've taken the time to read this far. I could construct an essay like I have in the past but this is more reasonable length wise for a brief introduction. I'm not as gruff as it sounds. I'm not perfect or flawless any more than the next person. I'm not used to dating at all any more. Conversation may be a requirement here.
