Hate writing these things, as find it easier to chat about myself in person but here it goes:I work for an oil exploration company, I know not ideal to start with the job you do, but I have to explain that I work 5 weeks away then have 5 weeks at home, so looking for someone to spend some time with when I'm back. If that is not something that you could deal with then best to stop reading! I'm not needy or just looking for a quick jump. I have my own life and my own interests but looking for someone to share some of that with. Thought I would give this a go, as at least on here you can see if you have similar interest and get to know someone before you meet. I like manual work and don't mind getting dirty and covered in oil.I love people that can make me laugh and have a bit of banter. You have one life to make the most of and too many people spend to long not living it! I am quite an impulsive person, so if I get a good idea I generally go with it. Even better when you have someone similar and you end up in a little adventure you haven't planned. This has lead me to do quite a few things including: Sky Diving, SCUBA Diving, Skeleton Bob-sleigh, and quite a few extreme sports. Although I do a little bit of extreme sports and activities, I am equally quite happy to stay in and watch a good movie or go and have a few drinks. When I'm back home for 5 weeks are spent renovating my house, going out with friends, playing sports and travelling. Looking to travel to the far east and Australia within the next year or 2 as want to dive the great barrier reef and visit Vietnam.I'm ideally looking for someone that can hold a conversation and have similar interests. I do enjoy a nice intelligent conversation about most things, I don't lie or pretend to be something I'm not, so pretty soon find out if I click with someone. Better to limit your chances with the kinda person you are after, rather than wasting your time on the people that you aren't.If you like what you see and read, drop me a message. I'm an easy going guy who likes most things, I do love my live music and am always trying to get more gigs/festivals lined up mostly into prog rock, metal and (oddly) psy trance but I don't mind a bit of anything these days, I enjoy making new friends, meeting up with the ones I already have and just generally being around people :)I don't really watch much TV but I do like watching films, playing games and lazing around when I'm not working and have nothing else to do, I tend to favour comedy, but I'm partial to anything as long as its a well thought out film, I couldn't really say I have a favourite, I've seen too many.I also enjoy walking, a lot and I mean proper walking with a bag and tent through the wilderness, I've got no problem with getting my hands dirtyI probably work too much, I don't like to talk about work because I talk about work all the time... if that makes senseI like to think I have a quirky personality, but that might just be me thinking that, I don't really seem to lose friends only make them and I find I like to live by the quote 'It's better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you're not' Drinks at a pub or a meal at either a pub or resturant

At a towering stature of 5'6" and hobbit-like good looks, there is no doubt that I am an impressive man. On top of that, I also play sport such as squash and long distance running. Yeah, that's right... I'm pretty fly! Despite all this, for some reason I don't do very well with women normally. I think they must be intimidated or something like that. I graduated in 'Computer Animation' a few years ago, which is basically making and watching cartoons a lot. Now I'm working at a squash club and doing some freelance design stuff alongside. Then weekends typically involve ditching the pseudo-athlete type lifestyle, in favour of sillyness and becoming unconcerned with looking like a complete moron.Kind of bored of writing now... That'll do. Been a while since I've been on one. Can't remember how they work.
