I still keep a little fluff around the middle because I can cook, and I love food, but If I'm going to be serious about a woman then she needs to be able to share an active life. If you don't enjoy pushing yourself physically then we probably aren't a good match. I don't want to have to choose between spending time with my partner or going out to do the fun, healthy things I love to do. I would choose the woman, because nothing in life is more powerful than love. Since I don't want to give up that active, healthy part of my life I don't date people who don't share that lifestyle. I know I'm not, but I like girls who like to hike uphill. I prefer getting together for coffee or lunch as a first meeting. If we like each other we can plan a real date. Now the actual first date is another story. Local events are great. A nice dinner filled with good conversation followed by a walk down main street can be a lot of fun with plenty of time to get to know one another. If we are lucky enough to pick the right date we could go up on the National Monument to catch a meteor shower. Dinner and a movie are fine if you have been dating a while and are comfortable together, but I try to avoid cliches on first dates. No matter what we do you can expect me to be a gentleman. I open doors, prefer to pay, and will give you my coat if you are cold. That is how I was raised and I have no interest in changing that aspect of myself.
