Who am I? Timeless values *** my youth have been tempered by storms that I’ve weathered during my life. My faith has grown and I do my best to live my life by honoring God, helping and caring for others, and taking care of myself. I have two wonderful daughters, one at A&M, and the other in high school. I’ve been a dance “mom”, a cheer “mom” and a debutante “mom”, and gladly spent many hours in estrogen filled rooms supporting my daughters’ activities and making new friends. I enjoy being outdoors, camping, boating, skiing (water and snow), and fishing. I also enjoy woodworking and staying active and fit.You will typically find me in church most Sundays, not because it’s a duty or my attendance will somehow earn me “points” with God, but because I love God, and I desire to sit at His feet, listen to His Word, and worship Him. Being a Christian, I have moral values that exceed our current society’s norm some of which are: Killing unborn babies is an atrocity; Marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man, a woman and God; Divorce for any and every reason (“no fault”) is unacceptable. I also believe that “gun control” is fundamentally about “control”, not guns.My favorite Bible verse is 1 Thessalonians 5:***, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” I do my best to remember and apply this verse to my daily living.I enjoy running and exercising several times a week, although I’m not a “gym rat” (my last gym membership expired in the mid-‘90’s). My BMI stays between 21 and 23 in the normal range (18.***.9). I hope to find an attractive woman whose Body Mass Index is also in the normal range—not too tall or too short for her weight. ;-) I enjoy attending a weekly yoga practice and treat myself to a monthly massage. I’m not into body graffiti. If you have a tattoo that’s okay, I’ve got a scar or two to remind me of some imprudent decisions I’ve made. But if you think body graffiti is cool, and you want your mate to get inked up with you; that would not be me. Some women describe themselves as “confident” or “independent.” I consider these to be admirable qualities provided the meaning of confident is collected or composed, and independent is defined as self-reliant or responsible. On the other hand, I am not seeking someone that could be described as haughty, arrogant, insolent, defiant, unfaithful, domineering, or pushy. So now you know a little bit about me and some of my views, options and who I might be looking for. If you’re intrigued, I’d love to hear from you.
