I'm not sure exactly why I decided to give this a try -possibly just because loneliness starts to take grip when the weather starts to get cold up my way. In any case, I haven't been so lucky meeting anyone at the grocery store and I'm just not into the bar scene anymore. I work a lot so when I have time off I'm usually a homebody but the occasional night out is really a treat! I love to go to art shows and small music events. I'm a painter. I love the quiet slow pace and most of all the lack of traffic! There's something so refreshing about being able to do your own thing. Mainstream trends are not so important to me so if you like a lady with fake nails and an expensive handbag you will not find her with me.I'm looking for someone who likes a good campfire, who isn't afraid to get their hands a little dirty and who likes to try something new once in a while. I mean, I 'm a decent cook and I like to experiment. Wanna be my taste tester? Coffee's great! I like uncommon things but I'm scared of heights so no skydiving.

First let me say that if you're looking for a hook up or something on the side- I am not interested. I am testing the dating pool water one toe at a time right now, no speeding into the deep end and especially no skinny dipping. I enjoy country, rock, and some 80s/90s pop and r&b music. Other genres are fine, I'm just a tad picky and have taste. :) Concerts are my luxury expense, I love to go a few times a year and whoop it up from the pit. ;) I rarely drink, no need when I'm this much fun already! I definitely enjoy a balance of being serious as well as enjoying life. I am a mom, and my kids are always going to be my priority. That doesn't mean I won't make time for someone special, just means I won't cast them aside for anyone. I volunteer at their schools and love being active in my community. I am also pretty opinionated. I will definitely listen to your views, worse case scenario we'll have to agree to disagree. In regard to my pics- I posted the comparison photo because I am very proud of how far I've come in a year. I am on a quest to be healthier while still enjoying my life. I do not aspire to be a size 6, I'm very happy with the curves I own. My purpose is to be healthy and live a long, happy life with my family. Exercise is a good thing, but I don't allow it to consume my schedule. Slow and steady wins the race.I'm not going to write a great deal about my business or my personal life- that information is on a need to know basis. Getting to know someone involves effort, not reading an essay. :)***Update- If you aspire to have 15 minutes of fame on Catfish, please do not bother contacting me. If you speak or write in the manner befitting a kindergarten drop out, please look elsewhere. If your pants "sag", I'm not for you. If you have gold (or silver) in your mouth where teeth should be, keep it moving. If you refer to women as shorty, honey dip, hoochie, or the like- trust me, we would not mesh well. If you have 8 kids by seven different women, don't bother dating, just don't. If your idea of a great first date is casing a house so you can go back later, step off- way off! Otherwise, if you can handle an opinionated, smart ass with a mind of her own- feel free to say hello. I just figured I would give the online option a shot and see if there really are more fish in the sea, or maybe the rivers around here are dry? Public place... Ideas?

I love my friends & family and make it a priority to enjoy life in their company. I value close relationships and have friends since childhood. They are more like family to me and would always remain a priority. I love animals but am not in a place where I can have them right now. My Golden Retriever died last year and it was one of the hardest experiences in my life, after 13 years of love. I would love to have a dog again when the timing is right. They are amazing and loyal companions. I am a Registered Nurse who loves her profession and takes it seriously. I believe nursing is a calling and a job for only the truly unique! I have worked my *ss off for years, working several jobs at once which started taking a toll. I have recently calmed down and now only work two jobs (LOL!)I am separated and am interested in taking things slow with the right person. My goal is to have a relationship and see where it goes. I wouldn't mind getting married again if I fell in love. I definitely want children in the near future, as I believe being a parent is the most precious job of all. I am down to earth but value respect :-) I love to have fun, but also have morals and not interested in one night stands or meaningless, shallow dating.
