Out of thousands of people, surely there's someone like-minded out there! I would like to find someone who enjoys the same kind of no-frills travel. Travel is my biggest passion. I prefer travelling off the beaten path. I've really enjoyed the solitude of summer holidays on the shore at Lake Superior Provincial Park. I travel as often as I can to beautiful Tofino, BC. I'm fortunate to have traveled to many countries doing volunteer work. I've just returned from walking the Camino in Spain.I'm pretty simple. A good weekend at home involves a trip to the Farmer's Market, maybe a movie at the Princess, a hike, watching sports. I love time spent in a canoe and walking in the wilderness. I've taken up running. I've had the good fortune to complete the Boston Marathon three times now! I love to curl and I am generally a sporty person.My new addiction is auctions. Love finding, and fixing up, neat items for resale. I'm pretty witty and sarcastic. I would not say that I'm shy but I would say that I'm an introvert. I prefer one on one situations to group functions. I'm a smart ass and a nerd. I'm not much of a girly girl. I still consider myself new to Cambridge and am hoping to get to know the city and meet some new people. That said, I am in a period of transition at the moment and am open to going anywhere and doing anything!I will admit that I have a hard time overlooking poor spelling and grammar. I think it reflects a lack of effort and pride in self. There's really no good excuse for it. (I 'favourite' people when I come across someone who's profile I would like to look at again. Like a bookmark. I'm not sure why this seems to upset so many people.)I'd rather get to know each other through the course of doing something active. Forced conversation is a bit awkward to me.

I have attended college and do plan on eventually finishing my degree, but it isn't currently required for my line of work. Communication and honesty are really important to me.I think it depends on the person and intrests you have in common, but something "outside the box" would be ideal.

How to describe yourself to others on here is a joke. I have a odd sense of humor. I can even make myself blush. The filter between my brain and mouth is only there 10% of the time. I refuse to hurt people, and will help when I am able. Karma...I believe in it.I am not a skinny woman. So if you like those types of girls move on. I started to work out 4x a week at a gym to be where I want to be. I will always have curves. Just to get that out there. I am Happy with who I am.Still trying to find that person right for me and me for him. But until then the search is on. My intent is not to say I want a relationship, I just want to meet someone to hang out with and get to know. Then take it from there. I have 4 kids. 3 of those at home. 2 of those under 18. I try to work as much as possible. Either at my job, in my yard/garden or at the haunted house during the season. Of course camping is fun. As a family we like to go every year somewhere different. Honesty is very important. But I'm sure everyone says that. If you have questions ask.
