About Me

The first thing I notice when meeting someone is their smile. I'm looking for someone with a warm and friendly smile. And maybe that sparkle in their eyes when they see me. Someone to enjoy the everyday pleasures of life with. I love to laugh and joke around. When contemplating the idea of on-line dating and trying to imagine what others thought of me, I drew a blank, so I just asked a friend of mine to describe me. He said I was kind and caring. Intelligent, a little outspoken, and funny. We had worked beside each other 8 hours a day for about 6 years, so I took his word on this. I love the sound and smell of rain, the warmth of the sun on cool Autumn day, the dance of the colorful leaves on the breeze of fall, the sight, sounds and smell of large bodies of water, walking in the sand, laughter of children, a cold crisp day of winter with the snow lightly falling, candle light, the warmth and crackle of an open fire, kissing, holding hands, snuggling and the list goes on......The best thing that has ever happened to me to date is becoming a Grandmother. This has to be the "ultimate experience" life has to offer :-)I do believe in chemistry in a relationship. One complimenting the other. Two halves, so to speak, making a whole. I enjoy simple things as well special things. I want an uncomplicated, life-long, loving partner. Life is what you make it, so it can be boring or it can be an adventure. The adventure is not in where you go or what you do but in the attitude and perspective that you have while going and doing. So with the right person, going to a flea market looking for a special item, could be a treasure hunt. Or walking on the beach and watching the sun set could be a romantic getaway. I guess it's about enjoying the moment and having someone to share it with. No matter how grand or how small. Life has so many great things to offer if we are open to them. I just want someone to share whatever comes our way.I love nature and animals. I love landscaping and other yard projects. I also do small (sometimes large) indoor projects. I have a creative nature so I have allot of artistic interests. I'm fun loving and like to joke around. I'm optimistic and like to find the positive in any given situation. That is not always easy and sometimes I forget to look but not often. I would like to find someone who has a positive outlook on life in general. Someone who might share my interest or at least tolerate them. Some one who might like to go to a movie, eat out once in a while. Go places and do things that, one or the other of us has already experienced and found enjoyable, or better yet do something or go some place that has been a desire to either or both. I also love spending time at home just relaxing. It would be great to have someone to share that with.

I think it's pretty safe to say...I'm not your everyday average girl... but that of course is your call to makeI laugh at my own jokes, & I love it. (Probably an ADD sufferer...VERY easily amused), I like people (Preferably the kind and interesting ones), I try and make light of bad situations. I smile...a lot (even when i have absolutly no idea of whats going on), I'm a Beach Bum in the summer and just your average Country Girl (Stuck in the city) every other day of the year, i try to not stress the lil things (life is far to short to end up with heart disease) Quite recently I've found out just how much of a Klutz I am. Even though deep down, I somehow knew i was never the most Graceful person to walk the planet. I'm random... I'm horribly gullible... and surprisingly probably one of my worst traits... I'm trusting I like a man who gets to the point and knows what he wants out of life, is ambitious, has his own set of goals & interests and well to be quite blunt- has his sh*t together. If i have learned anything through these last few years it is that Life... is WAY too short, you need to enjoy every moment of it as well as the people who are in it & close to you. one of my short term goals is to finish off renovating/updating in my house (seems like its a never-ending goal) others would be to learn how to play the guitar, get my motorcycle licence and said motorbike, learn to snowboard (not gonna lie...that could be one dangerous adventure). I've become a fairly active person where I've been trying to do as many outdoor 5k runs in the spring/summer months...and i never thought i'd hear the words "sorry i can't, gotta go to the gym" come out of these lips haha but it happens more often then i think.. but another goal i want to do is i'd like to one day complete a ***marathon (specifically the Rock & Roll "run the strip *** night" in Vegas). As for long term well i really haven't thought too much on that yet. i would love to do some traveling in the next couple of years see more of the world and become immersed with other cultures, perhaps live in another country and practice nursing there for a yr or 2...ireland and new zealand are just 2 places i have been looking in to/interested in..."Coffee is cheap, Drinks are an audition, Lunch is an interview, but Dinner is business...the business of Romance"- *Patti Stanger, The Millionaire Matchmaker* (What can I say, they don't call her a matchmaker for nothing, the Woman knows her stuff)But for starts... Seeing as this is the starting point... Keep it casual, see if there's chemistry & take it from there.

I Don't have a laundry list on looks, profession, income ect, those are things that can disappear in the blink of an eye. (If those things top your list please read no futher, we would not match up)..... More important is a relationship built on trust and respect.... Best friends, lovers, partners in crime, ....that perfect fitLove my age and all it has taught me. Things happen in life that we have no control over, so I cry at sad movies, laugh at my mistakes and sometimes I order dessert before dinner. No longer a Black Tie event kind of girl. Oh, I still enjoy the occasional event but now treasure the simpler pleasures in life... a car ride to nowhere, getting lost, finding an amazing hole in the wall place to grab a burger. Happy with farmers markets, cooking, dog park, ball game, drive up the coast, cuddling on the couch with a good movie, holding hands, kissing in the rain and talking until the wee hours of the morning. I like my eggs over easy and eating Chinese out of the carton, mayo on my corn, tarter sauce on my fries, ugly neck ties, good southern gentlemen, Dino better than Frank and find things that society says are ugly quite beautiful. Love the smell of Lilacs, change of seasons, small towns with barking dogs, thunder storms and a off the wall sense of humor. I'm a hopeful romantic who still believes in wishing on stars and Santa. I'm 100% Italian what can I say, a blessing and a curse. I believe in being yourself and taking ownership of your life, ....something I've learned how to do and happy with the person I've become.A friend calls me a nice mixture of contradictions:)) I'm hoping it was a compliment??? VERY IMPORTANT INFO BEFORE YOU CONTACT ME: It is my belief that within any relationship there is nothing that can damage it more than lack of honesty. So I find it only fair you should know....I am very blessed to be a 17yr Breast Cancer survivor. I never felt the need to have reconstructive surgery.... I got to look forward to tomorrow and that was good enough for me.. (some men can accept this, some can't) but I refuse to let it define who I am..There is a difference between first meeting and first date. First Meeting....Lets start off meeting as friends for coffee/tea or a drink. Who knows, if we feel a connection we just might order a second cup.:) First Date... Street Fair, a picnic, something fun, so we get to know each other and see if we enjoy each others company.
