About Me

I like blues, gospel, and zydeco music. I like to keep busy and earned my doctorate degree last year. I have found my calling and am blessed in my work. I have never been married and have a 30 year old son. I have a chocolate lab, 10 chickens and 2 cats. I bought the farm house I was raised in and I am restoring it without the help of the the rehab addict. I am looking for a man to indulge my quirks. I am independent, outspoken but shy, loyal, and family oriented in a non traditional way. I want a man who can keep up with me and not hold me back. I require individuality and equality in a relationship. I can take care of myself as well as caring for the people in my life. I do want someone to have a partnership with. I lead a busy lifestyle by choice and men who like to "cuddle" are NOT appealing to me. It just appears as male talk for "horny" or "I'm clingy". I need someone who can be comfortable in many different settings from bar to boardroom and is not afraid of time on their own. I also would like to be able to talk intelligently and be very physically attracted to the same person. I do not like men who are overweight or very domineering, but do like tall men who carry themselves well and have a certain charm. Physical attraction as well as the physical aspect of a relationship are very important to me. I am open minded and somewhat free spirited and do not like to be told what to do. I don't like couch potatoes, sports fanatics, racists, or people who brag. Self esteem is attractive to me, but boasting is not. I am down to earth, don't like to waste people's time and may be considered slightly shallow. However, I feel good about myself and my life choices most days. I work hard and play hard and feel very committed to finding a soul mate, even if I have trouble defining who that man is. I can be hot tempered, but also am very able to say I am sorry when I am wrong. I am religious and rebellious. I do know what I like and I am looking for a big man, but not in the sense of pounds if you know what I mean, wink, wink, big heart, big muscles, little baggage and no isms, such as racism, sexism, and ageism and oh yeah, I like working in my yard and in my home, but you couldn't tell it from looking at it, he-he.
