My friend advised me to be very sincere and honest during this part, which in turn should encourage the same in responses - I mean why bother reeling in the barracuda when you really want the dolphin? A lot of profiles I've read come off sounding all sunshine and rainbows so it's difficult to get a read on the real person. I just hope I don't come off sounding too harsh w/my likes and dislikes! So okay, here goes:I'm pretty easy-going, like to think I'm fun, and have been told I have a great sense of humor. I can take a joke and teasing but be aware that should you pitch it to me, know that I am going to slam it home. I'm very into travel, concerts, film, reading, cultural events, road trips up the coast ... and lots more things I can't think of right now. I like all kinds of music (okay, maybe not Bluegrass), enjoy seeing a live band in Hollywood now and then, and attend concerts by myself when my friends aren't into it. I love attending sporting events, but by no means am I a sports fanatic and won't sit around watching it on TV ... unless I've placed a bet. You however, may watch sports until your eyes bleed as I have no problem keeping myself busy w/a great group of friends.I feel I have a positive attitude towards life and always see the glass half full … but I still want to know who's been drinking out of it if you know what I mean (smile). I'm also a romantic at heart and love all those girly-chick things such as flowers and perfume and holding hands. A homemade Valentine's Day card from you would mean so much more to me than jewelry. (Okay, not really ... but you get my point.) And while I love doing couple-things, I don’t need to be with someone ***. I think a healthy relationship involves having some separate interests, otherwise you have nothing new to bring to the table. I like to stay at home and make out on the couch while watching a movie as much as I enjoy going out on the town - a nice balance. I guess I'm just looking for a kind, smart, stable, fun-loving, witty and romantic guy who can carry on an interesting conversation with me - someone who will hopefully lead to a lasting love. A few random facts about me: I play guitar. That's not to say that I'm good at it, but I love to play. I play several other *** well so music is a big part of my life. I taught myself how to knit in an attempt to quit smoking. I now have an awesome collection of homemade scarves. I have a pair of shoes to match every mood, outfit, or occasion...but I wear the same beat on sneakers every day. When I saw the movie "Jaws" when I was little, I was terrified to take a bath for weeks. "A Goofy Movie" makes me cry. I'm obnoxiously loud but painfully shy. I always read magazines from back to front. I'm absolutely terrified of dinosaurs. I can't sleep at night without my stuffed penguin, Jasper. I have this really annoying habit where I carry the tv remote around the house without realizing it and lose it CONSTANTLY. I absolutely LOVE to watch the garbage men pick up the trash....I have no idea why. I pronounce the word "color" as "keller" and it drives me insane. I'm pretty sure I did irreversible mental damage to a pigeon one time. Ask me about it- it's a good story. I still feel bad about it! I have the same thought every night before I fall asleep, but I've never told anyone what it is. I CAN'T dance...but after a couple drinks I think my awkward grinding and such is downright sexy...until I see videos of it the next day. I love to have fun, but I am not a total airhead either! I work hard to get what I want. I love my job. I'm just looking for some fun and variety in my life!I'm looking for someone with a sense of humor as whacked out as mine. That's a must! If I can find that I think the rest will take care of itself...it may be awhile!I'm not looking for empty hook ups, so if that is all you want I'm not interested. I'm looking for something more substantial. I'm not saying that I'm looking for something serious to rush into either. I would be perfectly happy with someone who is a night owl like me and would be content grabbing a six pack and a crappy movie and hanging out after work.
