About Me

As most of my friends are now settled down I'm looking to meet new friends first of all - and you just never know where that might lead! I can be a bit quiet / shy until I get to know people, but give me time and I'll tell you everything there is to know and be a loyal friend!. I view friendships as for life and I've been hurt a few times by 'passing friends' - surely it doesn't take that much effort to keep up with ppl you like!!!I'm very into politics (no really - please don't let that put you off!!!)and I am actively involved (For those that need to know - I'm a member of the SNP and have been for 20 years!). I'm also very into history and I'm at my happiest trekking through castles and historical sites! (Egypt is my all time favourite place!) I like to sketch - mainly ppls faces - tho I wouldn't say I have a great talent at it - its just something I enjoy! I'd also really love to learn a bit of photography! I like and appreciate art - but I'm not an art snob! I HATE pretentious ppl!!! Music wise I'm a HUGE David Bowie fan. My music taste is quite wide - except for boy bands, screechy females - and c&w !!! Generally I like my music quite loud!!I like reading horror novels (as long as they're well written - not trashy ones!***Anne Rice and Chelsea Quin Yarbro are my favourite authors - and Stephen King before he got bad! You won't catch me watching 'chick flicks' often! TV wise I like stuff like Buffy, Lost, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Life On Mars, Ashes To Ashes (no really - I'm NOT a geek!) but you won't ever catch me watching Sex & The City *yawn* and I have no desire to EVER see Mamma Mia!!! aarrggghhh! I think I am a bit of a mixture really - I'm probably not your 'average' woman when it comes to my tastes / interests (well I am certainly the odd one out amongst my friends!!). That said, I'm probably not quite 'alternative; or 'cool' enough for some - the ones I consider 'trying too hard' LOL! I like what I like - I really don't give a damn if its 'cool' or totally not! I have two cats that I adore - animals are the best friends in the world! I come as a package with them - they are my babies! They were rescue kittens and I'm an over protective / adoring mother! I'm looking to meet new friends really to have a few laughs with and share some good times! Anything else is a bonus!I'm a trusting person - sometimes too much so - but with me what you see is what you get! I don't play mind games and I don't have any pretensions! I don't plan on changing to fit someone else's ideals - but that said I'm always up for learning new things and trying things - at least to see whether I like them or not! I'm not big on preconceptions - I have a pretty open mind about most things!I'd probably like to go to a nice old fashioned type pub, have a few drinks and laughs and get to know each other - see if there's any spark there. Nothing heavy - if the spark's there we'll soon know!

    ***K, Lets Be Honest Here .... So I thought I would just say it like it is... When I'm bored home alone, I watch the cheesiest chick flicks, eat like a pig and smoke like a 50 year old BINGO player (OK maybe not this much but I do smoke). When I'm really bored I make crafts outta crap I have laying around the house. It's a huge time waster and it normally ends up in the garbage. But, if you play your cards right you may just get some of these crafty gems for Christmas. Do you care that when i wake up I have no eyebrows, because due to an unfortunate waxing incident, I am forced to draw them in for now. Also if I go out for drinks and I have a lot...(which I do on occasion, those who really know me may say its more than "on occasion" but thats a whole other story) I will snore like a bear...It's really embarassing but sadly true. Do wanna know that presently I have more clothes on my bedroom floor than hanging in my closet? I COULD GO ON FOREVER WITH THIS, WHICH ALSO A WONDERFUL TRAIT I HAVE,,,,,BUT I WILL STOP !!!*********SO NOW SEE BELOW THE TYPICAL BLAH BLAH BLAH MOST PEOPLE WRITE********But also.....TRUEI have a great sense of humour, attractive and fun. I like real people. Not cookie cutter people who tell me the things they think I want to hear. I love watching Hockey, having a couple drinks (see above), I love going camping, Golfing has recently become a small passion of mine (even though I am hands down THE worst player alive). I am just really laid back. I have no clue as to what I am looking for outta this site but we will give it a chance and see what happens.I am far from perfect and if you have got this far though all my blah blah blah...you will get some more honesty.......This maybe too much to handle for some1) I am NOT skinny...I am chubby...I am not obese, huge, small baby whale...but certainly not small....2) I do NOT look like my pics everyday.....I like baseball hats and hoodies3) I sometimes have a filthy mouth.....however I will never say *** *** *** etc in front of your mom, grandma....I am respectful4) I like to have drinks....I am NOT an alcoholic but I like to enjoy myself5) I like funny....respectful....clean men 6) I bite my nails...but i ALWAYS have my nails done...fake? yes...but they look nice. It makes me nervous, however that being said here are a few things I relish in .....When we kiss, you hold my face with ur hands. Sometimes just look at me across the table when we are out with friends. Give me the look like I have no idea what I would rather being doing with you now. Putting ur hand on the small of my back as we walk. The small things....mean so much more :).
