About Me

I am kind and compassionate, good listener, happy, playful, positive, a direct communicator and reflective. I am also fun! I actually need to laugh everyday. I can converse on most everything, with good insight and intuition. I love to try new things. I enjoy the regular scene as well; coffee shops, movies, dining, cooking together, discussing issues and talking about day to day things. Divergent views are important but I don't need to debate too intensely. Golf, going for walks, I exercise regularly and still don't look like a goddess. I am average, shapely to a few extra pounds I will state this as for some, this is a big deal, no pun intended, ha ha. I enjoy pool, bowling, traveling, going up north, reading, concerts, and live theater. I am competitive in individual sports such as pool, darts and bowling and wii. I also enjoy some live sporting events. I have a dog so liking dogs is a must. I have two grown, married children and have great friendships with each adult child, their respective spouse and significant, and I love my grandchildren. I feel very fortunate that we are friends and enjoy spending time together, I really like my kids.I am creative in visual arts. I like many types of music. Music moves me. Love live theater, musicals, piano bars, dancing, comedy shops all those types of venues. I love to travel (I have been to Europe, Scandinavia, BC Canada, Mexico and different states) haven't traveled for a few years though. I love seeing other places but,I love coming home to my own bed after traveling. I am playful (said that), affectionate and caring. I am not clingy or jealous. I think life is full of funny! I enjoy going out, staying in, and am interested in trying new things. I have a fun active life, with calm moments mixed in, it's more interesting to share it with someone, flaws and all and I have plenty. I am striving to live and love healthfully. If you find me interesting, contact me. After all we all want to make a connection, that's why we are here. I know enough about friendships that starting one from scratch isn't like adding a few kisses and stir and presto you are a couple! I am patient are you? I don't like hijack kisses but intentional kisses, mutual ones, that actually mean you like the person. I get the attraction piece and believe me I want that too but it often seems that a first date brings a rushed kiss, pressure to " make the connection". How about finding some common interests, talk politics, (yikes) get to know a little about each other. Let the chemistry build a bit, it is totally worth it! Enjoy your day.A first date can vary a great deal. There is no substitute for good conversation. I'm in.

Let me preface my profile by asking that if you read it and it offends you, or you disagree with part or all of it, or you are just looking to pick a fight, please pass me by. I am appalled at the number of people who feel it necessary to write nasty messages to me JUST BECAUSE. Remember, treat others the way you'd like to be treated.I am a fairly sane, adventurous, passionate woman looking for a guy to share life's experiences with. I have a great kid, job, home, family, and friends. I don't need a daddy, nor another child, nor a project! I just truly enjoy the company of men and all that they have to offer. But, if you have a lot of baggage and/or a basic distrust of women, please don't contact me! Even in this medium, honesty is the best policy. Also, please have a picture posted if you contact me. Hey, I put myself out there--it's only fair!At this point in my life I know what I want. I'd love to have someone to cook with, discover new restaurants with, explore nature with, and just be myself with. That is probably not a grammatically correct sentence, but you get my drift. I'm drawn to unusual, creative men--not your basic button-down types. But not a NASCAR or country music lover either. AND if you are a serious republican, tea partier, etc., we probably won't get along. I like men who love to have fun and laugh but can be serious when it's called for. Bonus points for a guy who can make me laugh a lot. That said, I'm not necessarily looking for a long-term partner (although I'm certainly not ruling it out!). Someone to hang out with and do things with (biking, hiking, kayaking, concerts, antiquing, flea markets, restaurants/ bars) would be great. My greatest guilty pleasure is traveling to places I've never been, OR sharing someplace really special to me with someone who is just as special. I appreciate a keen sense of humor and a love of the absurd. My ideal guy would be a huge Andy Griffith fan, but that probably narrows the field considerably, so it's not a "must-have". I am politically and socially liberal, so whoever I spend time with would at least have to be tolerant of that part of my makeup, but I would prefer he embrace it!To me, romance means getting lost in each other's eyes, passion, meaningful gestures, putting the other person first. I would love to find my best friend and lover all rolled into one guy!Oh, and BTW, I LOVE FALL!I think the first date should be on neutral territory but somewhere both parties are comfortable with. Movies are out because you can't converse, so that leaves a bar, restaurant, farmer's market (seriously!), festival--I'm open to suggestions.
