LA has so much to offer! After one particularly wonderful night of freestyle dancing to a great band last October, I discovered swing dancing! I never gave partner dancing much thought, but after a few lessons and nights out on the dance floor, I discovered how fun it can be! I love a sophisticated evening but I am also easily pleased by spending quiet time with family and friends. I am proud of my accomplishments, from the Master's degree in French I received at UCLA, to my career in Market Research. I am thankful that I have always been able to adapt to life's challenges and opportunities.I an thankful in my life, but would love to find a wonderful man who understands me as someone who is at once creative, passionate, and articulate. I love sailing (especially dinghy racing), swing dancing, golf, tennis and power walking. And, I enjoy watching sports on TV and in person, especially if it's UCLA or the Lakers in the best of times. True, these are the makings of more than a first date, but I'm looking for years of shared experiences!In terms of things I enjoy, Sinatra is my favorite singer, especially when he played the Sands in Vegas with Count Basie. The Romantic era of classical music is most evocative for me. French, Italian, American and Chinese cuisine are favorites, as are nice Chardonnays and Merlot.Hemingway is my favorite author (I've read "The Sun Also Rises" many times & especially enjoy it in the summer while lounging by the pool or when traveling abroad.) I find Proust and Chateaubriand to be the most inspiring French writers.I love architecture more and more and truly appreciate the bountiful character in LA's homes, apartments, and commercial buildings. From the ***'s-30's Spanish apartments and estates (Wallace Neff!) to our thriving modern and reinvented downtown. (Have you ever been to The Edison on a Thursday night?)
