I live my life trying to improve myself in many ways. I'm into all things positive, angels, fairies, Doreen Virtue, Louise Hay and more. Right now I'm working on trying to live the Law of Attraction way of life, listening to CDs or YouTube videos.. I love music and like to watch live bands. I like to read and write and take postcard pictures with my phone, lol. I love nature and animals and would love to see many beautiful parts of the world. Love Whole Foods and farmers marketsWhatever inspires at the moment. Going with the flow sometimes works out best

Uggghhh. I hate this part. I am single again after 4.5 years.I work full time and have my own place. I'm looking for someone who is energetic, positive and has their life together or at least somewhat together. I am not into drama or games. I don't have time for that and hopefully neither do u.I know what I want and won't settle for anything less. Obviously attraction plays a huge role in the dating process. I'm attracted to clean cut, well-groomed men. I have a few tattoos and a piercing and find that sexy in a man. I'm an extremely honest person and expect the same. I have a sarcastic, witty and crude sense of humor and I have been told that I'm a "cool chick", whatever that means. Lol. I'm just open-minded and chill. I like to go out and do stuff and things but I can stay at home too. I have a lot of hobbies so I don't need constant attention nor do I want it or want to be with someone who needs it. Besides my one long term relationship, I have been alone most my life but I still have hope that I won't have to be alone forever!!I'm an open book, so don't be afraid to ask me a question.Anything social

I'm retired but still full of spirit and silliness and think of myself as an individualist. My photos are recent and have been told I look quite sophisticated. It's how I look, NOT how I am. Actually, I'm very down-to-earth and unpretentious and prefer people who are the same. I was blessed to have inherited my Dad's sense of humor and you'll usually find me smiling or laughing at the absurdities of life. I usually make the best of things even when they don't go my way. I enjoy my home but like getting out, seeing new places and trying new things. I enjoy using my mind and have an interest in a wide variety of things. The things that make me most happy are very often the simplest things... time with friends, flea markets & yard sales (hoping to find an unexpected treasure), people watching, preparing a meal together (I'm a pretty good cook), going for a drive stopping for lunch at some charming spot we will find along the way. I've been single for a very long time and to tell the truth, I've never found the single life particularly satisfying. I enjoy being with others and what would make me most happy would be to find a parter I can love and cherish and share the joys life has to offer. I'm affectionate but not over-bearing, intelligent but not a know-it-all and I am considerate and thoughtful of others. There are many things I enjoy, but doing becomes delight when I can share it with the one I love. Honesty is most important and I treat others, including myself, with respect and fairness. Being able to share some of my interests with my partner is important to me but I think the most important thing to share is our values, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise when we disagree. I think it's also important to respect our needs for private time.I have a delightful dog, a Havapoo (Havanese/poodle) who goes by the name, Shana. She's 12 lbs, very sweet and calm, and all who meet her love her. My music tastes run from jazz, the old standards, to the classics. I've been singing jazz all my life and a couple of years ago decided to study the craft and learn proper singing technique to preserve my voice till death do us part. I love a good discussion on many subjects: (currents events, what's been happening in our lives, sharing something we have recently read, thought provoking or funny movies, musicals and documentaries. Having said all that, I think the most important things in a relationship are the values we share, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise if or when we don't agree and a respect for our needs for privacy. I am not a religious person but live my life with honesty, integrity and love. And after all is said and done, I'd love to meet someone who is kind, romantic, has some smarts, and is healthy with a healthy sense of humor and who lives within 50 miles of Portland. What's inside is more important to me than appearances although I must admit to finding excessive weight a turn-off.I think I'll end on that note and hope what I've written appeals to you.I prefer a first date to be very casual, meeting in a quiet, public place for coffee or perhaps to share a light meal. We'll get to know a bit about each other and share a few laughs. If all goes well we'll make plans to meet again. :-}
