About Me

Looking for some interesting people to chat or hang out with, I like to get to know people before anything serious happens. I like just hanging out doing everyday things, many times involving bus trips downtown, beach-combing, or tea. As most people will say about themselves, I can't go five minutes without listening to music...ALL kinds. I'm into photography and like to draw and paint sometimes. I've recently worked on restoring an old piano (Sally), I've put in a lot of hours so far but its been worth it! I've never had so much respect for a musical ***, pianos are incredibly complex and beautiful. Your ability to participate in a heated debate and not take what I might say too personally is a MUST. I'm also prone to playing devil's advocate for the sake of a more interesting chat, which many people find annoying. I try to read as much as possible (don't watch a a lot of T.V.) and I'm really into short fiction and queer history right now, if anyone knows of any good stuff pass it on! I just graduated from UVic where I studied Psychology and Environmental Studies. Working full time is a big change and I'm still adjusting! Love being outdoors in all seasons and types of weather and visit the gym on a semi regular basis but I'm not a huge fan of playing team sports myself. I am currently in a committed open relationship with my best friend but am always looking to expand my circle of relationships both physically and emotionally. This means that a willingness to communicate openly and emotional honesty are very important to me.     (I had to pick a "descriptor" and "Music Lover" would be more accurate but, not an option.) Just checking to see what's out there. I'm a big baseball fan - the Red Sox are my team but I also follow (to a lesser degree) both the Giants and A's. I like walking on the beach (I know everyone says this, but I actually do it), seeing live music, dive bars, hiking, exploring and traveling. I have been sticking close to home on the weekends (enjoying the beach and Off The Grid on Saturdays) but I'd love to find someone who would inspire me to get out more.     Hmmm... I suppose this is where I sell myself....Let's see. I'm a typical Gemini - including all characteristics good and bad. I enjoy long walks in the ghetto after sunset (yay, the Heights!). I prefer my steaks medium rare. The word most often used to describe me is: quirky. I was a Chem major, Anthro minor (yes, I accept the "nerd" title willingly). I dance all the time - badly. And it is an absolute MUST that you have viewed "The Princess Bride" at one point in your life, or you will be forced by me to endure two hours of the bestest movie ever. I'll even provide snacks.ADDENDUM A: I am not currently looking for a relationship. Or even dating, for that matter. I want to meet new people as friends and going-out buddies ***can never be surrounded by too many good friends.
