About Me

I am the mother of one adult son who has been the main focus of my life. I feel privileged and blessed to get to raise such a fine young man and enjoy being his mom. When he started college, I returned to school myself. I love being a respiratory therapist and work a lot. I would like someone to share my days off with to make life that much more enjoyable.I have been divorced for over 20 years and value my space, but would like to share companionship with the right someone. I enjoy a variety of activities, but find I don't do many on my own. I would like to spend more time trying different things or even the same old things with great new company! I do get to the local art galleries and music venues when possible and of course evening walks on the beach is what makes me love living where I do!I have an 14 year old deaf beagle, Sammy. I love all kinds of music, but not a fan of bluegrass, heavy metal, opera, or rap. Smooth jazz is my favorite, but listen to current hits mostly. I believe that personal integrity is important.     I'm a believer - I believe honesty, trust and friendship is the beginning of a perfect relationship. I have made some wrong decision in my life but I have used them as a stepping stone in my journey of life and have learned from them. While I lived in Manassas, Virginia I enjoyed everything the DC area offers and treasured the time I spent with my family. As time moves on and everyone grows and have their own lives I realized it was time for me to move on and enjoy the things I have always wanted to do. In November 20I3 I decided to move Florida and visited Florida the first week of December and was lucky enough to find a beautiful Condo in paradise. On January 2, ***I arrived in Venice, Florida where I presently live.I served 14 years in the US Army Reserves and love my country. I love dancing, concerts, watching most sports, the sun, boating, walking on sandy beaches, riding my bicycle, conversation and my goal is to learn to play golf. I recently started playing pickleball and started bowling on a league after about 20 years. BTW: I'm sure you have a cute little dog or cat, a nice boat, pretty flowers, birds you enjoy but until I meet you (I'm not that interested) I want to see some current pictures of you. Then if we meet and enjoy each other I will be interested in seeing the rest of the things that make you happy..
