I can list all the fun activities that I like to do or try… but that’s apparent & immaterial b/c I’m not merely looking for an activity partner--but something deeper & much more. I’ve got enough friends to do ‘activities’ with on any given day. Besides that, there is never a shortage of ways to keep myself entertained or occupied, as I'm not easily bored…. reading, learning something new, TED talks, inspirational articles & pursuing many other interests keep me buoyant & curious! Contemplating, meditating & reveling in silence is what I like ‘doing’ inwardly the most.. even while I’m doing a million things outwardly--best when I can find a moment & some space to reflect upon myself, people, places & the nature of life.. that how I continually update much of my understanding of the world. Random facts (if you really must know):* Can sing in 8 languages, some only a song or two.. but that counts right?! * Fluent in English, Cantonese & Mandarin; also possess a working knowledge of French & Spanish. Would love to add Italian to the mix without blending the 3 in the romance family! * Love salsa & improv latin jazz-- the unrehearsed, flowing language of dance is something that can't be described. Graced the dance floor on 4 different continents & attended salsa congresses around the world. Dancing has brought me some of the greatest joys in my life. Strange how some guys can’t handle that fact.. either b/c it’s something I’m better at than they are, or jealousy creeps in. Expression is what I live for.. the social aspect of dance just adds more fun! I enjoy doing it once in a while.. but it’s not a priority anymore as I have other interests. * Travelled to a different destination for the past few years & visited Asia lots. Barcelona, Prague, Vienna or Costa Rica is next! Learning to surf in Waikiki would be a blast. And Italy was a dream destination that I’d love to revisit.. the south is beckoning :)* Played classical piano when I was young, which sadly dwindled down to chopsticks from not touching the keys for too long. But still love the classics & other romantics.* Photography & culinary arts are also huge passions of mine which I’d love more time to explore.* I'm an ENFP on Myers-Briggs, so my natural personality matches are: INTJ or INFJ.. if you buy into that sort of thing! My match:He has to make me feel safe by demonstrating that he is worthy to be TRUSTED. Not just feed me BS which he thinks I want to hear. I cannot tolerate people with fake intentions. I want an equal partner who is able to LISTEN—not only through the veil of his wants. Some guys have agendas that are way too obvious & talk a bit too much or arrogantly about themselves! A sense of humility & kindness is a must.Someone who is conscientious, reliable & ambitious (not just simply say that he is lol).. whose serious & intellectual side equally weighs his fun, carefree, youthful vitality. Someone with a familiar soul, drive & spirit.. whom I can be PROUD to venture out into the world with-- because we make each other happy, while carving our way as one—the Yang to my Yin & vice versa.Simply someone who truly wants what I want out of life :)A great date would be when we both realize that time flew by and we want to do it again! Being able to hold a conversation (not just a one-sided one) is a must. Having experience of judging 'characters', I usually know if I will click with someone upon meeting or just from chatting on the phone. If you are looking for someone who is low keyed, methodical, fastidious and "run of the mill" keep searching - I am not your type... I am spirited, passionate, offbeat, classy, intuitive, tenacious, feisty, creative, caring and energetic. I love laughter and being funny seems to come naturally for me. I do enjoy my "home time" where I can relax. I have 2 great kids... oh my they are grown to that college age and I am proud of them! My buddies that now reside with me are a pug and two cats. A "rocking" first date would probably be in some great BYOB in the country - either outdoors on a beautiful, moonlit evening...or a frosty evening with a fireplace burning ... ambiance, wonderful creative dining, a bit of humorous though mild flirtation, and a fabulous dessert with a shared allure that you both have this desire to learn much more about each other.... slowly...so the flame doesn't extinguish too quickly.
