Hello! I consider myself a sophisticated woman that enjoys the finer things, however I am not snobbish at all and have friends from every walk of life. Every thing I have I have worked hard for, nothing was given to me. I've been through tragedy and great happiness in life, and I see each day as a gift to be enjoyed. I don't "artificially" take care of myself. I believe in yoga, pilates, hiking/walking and eating healthy to remain looking young and vibrant. Most people tell me I look much younger than I am (thank you!). Oh, and yes, I'm a real redhead - I seem to get that question a lot. The qualities that I look for when meeting men include intelligence, a positive outlook on life, someone considerate, romantic, affectionate and family-oriented. I love to laugh and like dry humor. I also prefer men with somewhat of an athletic background or those who are physically active and health conscious. Good communication skills and trust are obviously very important aspects as well. A genuine connection that is meaningful and deep is not easy to find and gets even harder to find the older we get, but I remain optimistic :)I have a wonderful 21 year old son that I've raised alone (by choice) and have spent that time developing an awesome relationship with him. I wanted to give him a life free of a revolving door of men and raise him in a secure and stable environment. Now that he is grown and on his own I'm focusing on myself and my love life. I do not wish to have anymore children of my own, but am open to dating men with or without children.     I'll be brutally honest. I do not like dating websites. My girl friend talked me into getting back on this after an unsuccessful 13 month relationship that I just got out of.
