About Me

Lets see...I'm 31! I have a degree in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing. I'm currently working mixed shifts doing healthcare related office work and also running my own jewellery business (during whatever hours I have left after shift work, jewellery and sleeping). Neither are jobs that really enable me to be meeting many people,and neither was my job prior to this. Bad luck!!Likes and dislikes... I'd like to think that I'm a fairly open-minded person. I'll try most things once. I'll listen to almost any type of music, I like a lot of different genres of film (with the exception of horror movies like The Ring or The grudge etc...I just can't seem to watch that stuff) What else... I actually really like watching sports. Whether or not I'm good at playing them, however, is another story....I can be really shy. It can be annoying, but it is what it is. From what I'm told it tends to come across as disinterest or something like that, but I swear it's just probably me sitting there thinking "Holy sh*t I'm so nervous!" That being said, once I get to know someone I can be incredibly sarcastic and sometimes my verbal filter becomes somewhat non-existent.What else.....I'm tall. I know it already says that in the above info, but I think some people kind of breeze over that info. I'm almost 6 feet tall and to be completely honest I'm not so into being the taller one in a relationship. I suppose it always depends on the person doesn't it? I'm also a plus sized lady. I love and respect myself the way I am, whether I'm wearing size 24 or size ***"10" isn't going to happen -lol-) I tend to expect the same positivity and respect from anyone in my life, as that's how I choose to treat people as well..........Should I get off my soapbox now? :)That's all I've got for now, I won't write any more of a novel in this little space than I already have. I liked what I brought out in these people and think it is neat if they find someone that brings that out in them again...that is mature love for a person. You CAN love but not be IN love. I want to do it right or not at all.Effort is a biggie for me. If someone is not going to put forth the effort in the beginning of a relationship (when things are fresh and the person wants to pursue something with you), it is NOT going to happen when comfortable in a relationship and taken for granted. Effort ( or visible lack of) is a deal breaker for me. I can do MOST things myself, and after taking care of myself all these years, I am not going to settle.I would like to meet someone who does not smoke. I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and cannot stand the smell of it and what it does to the surroundings...it just stays there..besides is not fun kissing an ashtray :-) and I do enjoy kissing grinI understand it is very difficult to quit if you have been smoking awhile...but smoking is an option! I dont want to come 2nd to cigarettes...I have done that before.Depends what we both feel like doing at the time. I have had first meetings at Starbucks for coffee, breakfasts at Ihops or dinners at Applebees or some quieter places. It also is controlled by the time frame we have to work with. If people really want to connect they will take advantage of the tiniest time slots the universe sends us :-)
