I am a stable, caring, easy going gal...don't sweat the small stuff. I try to treat others as I would like to be treated. Don't mind getting my hands dirty, low maintenance, good listener, more comfy in casual clothes, can dress up if need be. Do not care to argue, talking things through is always best. Respectful of others thoughts and ideas. I believe there are angels all around us, and that everything happens for a reason, although it may not present itself at the time. I enjoy my work even though I work odd hours. I have a good sense of humor, enjoy window shopping, (and no...I don't buy things just because they are on sale, LOL) playing pool, motorcycles, (would love to learn someday) weekend road trips, movies, (romantic comedies, action, drama, mysteries) jokes, (yes...even blonde jokes) lakes, parks, water falls, boating, cruises, beautiful scenery, wild flowers, listening to live bands, country***'s music, fairs, carnivals, craft shows. If this sounds like someone you would like to get to know, get in touch.Am looking for an easy going, slow to anger, clean shaven fella. Nonsmoker is a plus! Who in time will become my best friend and will feel comfy telling me anything. Needs to be honest, fun, caring, good sense of humor, secure, and within driving distance would be a plus! Someone who would have my back as I would his. Has left emotional baggage in the past. Am not looking for a one night stand, etc. Am looking for friendship and company first, then see how things go. Am not looking for a long term relationship as yet.Take a walk in the park and get to know each other (summer months of course) lol In the winter, maybe go play a game of pool somewhere and talk or walk around the mall (somewhere warm) Other than that, am open to suggestions for sure!

What about me? What about Bob? (funny movie). ERP/Industry Consultant, transitioned to Org Psych Consulting in ***and would NEVER go back! Love meeting new people, the makers and shakers. A bit intense, but I would love to bring humanity back to the workplace. Trying to transform the "people are machines" mentality. I enjoy Astronomy (member of the SETI *** in looking for little green men; but rather, interested in the search for exo-planets and dark matter (does it really matter?). Other interests include: Behavioral Science, Social Science, and Forensic Science--what makes us tick, how we integrate as social beings, why we are here, are we alone?, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera; for fun, I play acoustic guitar with a local Meetup--I play mainly folk, country/heritage music, Jerry Jeff Walker (Charlie Dunn, Gypsy Songman); my preference is to listen to Latin Jazz (Pancho Sanchez, Paco de Lucia, Juanes, Hubert Laws--Rite of Spring/Brandenburg Concerto No. 3; pump it up, and Deodato). Interested in: independent filmmaking; (I have made a few crazy films), biking, kayaking, and scuba. Enjoy foreign travel, sci-fi (not into aliens in the garage; but getting desperate for a good, thought provoking, sci-fi movie (can't bring back Stanley Kubrick), and foreign films. Calm and easy-going, intuitive and perceptive. Life mission is to have fun and give back. What am I looking for? Someone who is passionate about being here on this earth--and looking beyond. An open and generous person. Someone who can step back and change direction if up against a wall (I do like Ray Wiley Hubbard, he is a little different). Cannot take life too seriously. Great sense of humor, able to laugh at self. Passionate about life and hearing/listening to what others have to say. You can learn something from everyone.Spend the day outdoors--in an area that is conducive to hearing and listening. I like "good" food; however, that does not translate to pricey--find that hole-in-the-wall.

Woman. 73 years old. Zodiac sign: Aquarius.
Looking for: man. In age: 63-83
I'm retired but still full of spirit and silliness and think of myself as an individualist. My photos are recent and have been told I look quite sophisticated. It's how I look, NOT how I am. Actually, I'm very down-to-earth and unpretentious and prefer people who are the same. I was blessed to have inherited my Dad's sense of humor and you'll usually find me smiling or laughing at the absurdities of life. I usually make the best of things even when they don't go my way. I enjoy my home but like getting out, seeing new places and trying new things. I enjoy using my mind and have an interest in a wide variety of things. The things that make me most happy are very often the simplest things... time with friends, flea markets & yard sales (hoping to find an unexpected treasure), people watching, preparing a meal together (I'm a pretty good cook), going for a drive stopping for lunch at some charming spot we will find along the way. I've been single for a very long time and to tell the truth, I've never found the single life particularly satisfying. I enjoy being with others and what would make me most happy would be to find a parter I can love and cherish and share the joys life has to offer. I'm affectionate but not over-bearing, intelligent but not a know-it-all and I am considerate and thoughtful of others. There are many things I enjoy, but doing becomes delight when I can share it with the one I love. Honesty is most important and I treat others, including myself, with respect and fairness. Being able to share some of my interests with my partner is important to me but I think the most important thing to share is our values, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise when we disagree. I think it's also important to respect our needs for private time.I have a delightful dog, a Havapoo (Havanese/poodle) who goes by the name, Shana. She's 12 lbs, very sweet and calm, and all who meet her love her. My music tastes run from jazz, the old standards, to the classics. I've been singing jazz all my life and a couple of years ago decided to study the craft and learn proper singing technique to preserve my voice till death do us part. I love a good discussion on many subjects: (currents events, what's been happening in our lives, sharing something we have recently read, thought provoking or funny movies, musicals and documentaries. Having said all that, I think the most important things in a relationship are the values we share, our ability to communicate with each other and our willingness to compromise if or when we don't agree and a respect for our needs for privacy. I am not a religious person but live my life with honesty, integrity and love. And after all is said and done, I'd love to meet someone who is kind, romantic, has some smarts, and is healthy with a healthy sense of humor and who lives within 50 miles of Portland. What's inside is more important to me than appearances although I must admit to finding excessive weight a turn-off.I think I'll end on that note and hope what I've written appeals to you.I prefer a first date to be very casual, meeting in a quiet, public place for coffee or perhaps to share a light meal. We'll get to know a bit about each other and share a few laughs. If all goes well we'll make plans to meet again. :-}
