My ex and I were happy for twenty five years. Then we met.A recent study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention itI don’t like people who take drugs…like customs officials.I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy meI recently read that love is entirely a matter of chemistry. That must be why my ex treats me like toxic waste.I use alcohol when cooking…I have even been known to add it to the food.I hate all this terrorist business. I used to love the days when you could look at an unattended bag on the train or bus and think, I'm havin that!Does anyone find it ironic how a program aimed at old people is called 'Countdown'?Apparently, women need to feel loved to have sex and men need to have sex to feel loved, so the basic act of continuing the species requires a lie from someone!A woman's mind is cleaner than man's. She changes it more often.It doesn´t matter if the glass is half empty or half full. There is clearly room for more alcohol.Forgive the flippancy above. I hate talking about myself hence the jokes. I do have a serious side when necessary.There is a place you can touch a woman that will drive her crazy. Her heart.It saddens me to observe that there are very few "genuine" people on this site, and that it now seems to attract the people who are looking for "no strings fun". Each to their own I know, but there are websites out there that specialise in that sort of thing where you will probably have more success. Please pass me by if that's your ulterior motive.Just a thought...if a guy includes a photo of his car on his profile does that mean he's looking for someone who's materialistic? Answers on a postcard please :-)Intelligence seduces me,wit captivates me, passion conquers meand a joke will have me rolling on the floor :-)

    I love life and enjoy each day as it comes. I am honest, so for all the men out there that have issues with the gay community, my daughter is gay and has been with her partner for 12 years. This statement usually clears the room but I love my daughter and accept her for who she is. So, if you have gotten past this issue lets go on, I expect honesty, a person that will be there for me (because I will be there for him),I give 200% to a relationship and expect the same in return. I work out 30 minutes every night on the treadmill and have a weight machine, this helps diminish the stress of the day. I want to stay in shape and would like a partner that wants the same.I tend to think outside the box. I have been told that my sense of humor is a bit left of center, of course those were my canadian friends. I enjoy life and try to always see the glass as half full. Granted there are those days when it is a tough sell, but I just take a deep breath and remind myself that it is a new day, new adventures and take what life hands me with a smile. I believe it is our responsibility to take care of the body that we have been given in this life and not abuse it, everything in moderation. I work fulltime and enjoy the interaction, keeps my mind running at warp speed. I enjoy most music, except for Rap - that is not music, just noise. Not into country western dancing or twangy country music. I tend to be a blue jeans comfortable kind of person which extends to my work environment. In the summer I wear my summer dresses but during the colder months it is sweaters/jeans/boots.First date would be to meet at a coffee shop and chat over a cup of coffee. Learn a bit more about each other, then a walk along the river. Sound boring? Not really, just feel it is better to take things slow and learn everything about the other person. Take an interest in what their life is made of.Is there anyone out there that still likes to hike????
