I am very family-oriented. My nine year old son is my world! I have a large family (I am one of 6!). Additionally, I am very social and enjoy spending time out when I am not with my son.I enjoy kid related activities (e.g. zoo, science center), traveling (when I can), hiking, movies, dancing, and running. My new year's resolution is to run a race every month ***Ks) and then two half marathons, one in Nov. and the PF Changs in Jan ***. My favorite race so far was the graffiti run this past Jan. Who doesn't like colored corn starch thrown at them?! I would like to try a mud run soon and hopefully build up to do a spartan or warrior run. I just completed my Master's in Biology. I teach science courses at community colleges and universities. I am currently debating if I would like to go back and get my PhD. Books: I would like to say I read for fun, but really I don't. I read scientific papers that fall within my interests (ecology, bio-geochemistry and animal behavior). Movies: Little Mermaid!). Otherwise, I enjoy a sappy chick flick and an action/comedy any day.Shows: don't really have time for tv, but I find myself falling asleep to some series that I'll watch on Netflix. So far, my favorites have been Weeds and Fringe. Music: A little bit of everything...but especially country! For a first date, I prefer more casual activities, like happy hour or mini golf.

    About me.. These things suck. Well, for starters I don't wear my glasses anymore :) I had LASIK recently! But I have a 2 year old son who is my main priority and my best little buddy!
