I am very family-oriented. My nine year old son is my world! I have a large family (I am one of 6!). Additionally, I am very social and enjoy spending time out when I am not with my son.I enjoy kid related activities (e.g. zoo, science center), traveling (when I can), hiking, movies, dancing, and running. My new year's resolution is to run a race every month ***Ks) and then two half marathons, one in Nov. and the PF Changs in Jan ***. My favorite race so far was the graffiti run this past Jan. I teach science courses at community colleges and universities. I am currently debating if I would like to go back and get my PhD. Books: I would like to say I read for fun, but really I don't. I read scientific papers that fall within my interests (ecology, bio-geochemistry and animal behavior). Movies: Little Mermaid!). Otherwise, I enjoy a sappy chick flick and an action/comedy any day.Shows: don't really have time for tv, but I find myself falling asleep to some series that I'll watch on Netflix. So far, my favorites have been Weeds and Fringe. Music: A little bit of everything...but especially country! For a first date, I prefer more casual activities, like happy hour or mini golf.

I'm up for meeting new friends and hanging out also. I have my degree and license in Cosmetology. I'm currently working at a busy salon with random/odd hours but I still love my job. I've been told I have a great sense of humor and can make just about anyone laugh, like to have fun but can be serious when needed (at work). I love going out and having fun with friends but do enjoy a night in also, watch movies and relax.I'm really open with who I'd like to meet, just someone that's laid back and doesn't mind the fact that I have alot of piercings and who likes me for me and doesn't want me to be someone else for them.
