Describe myself... Hmmm. First, I am not a fan of this on-line dating thing. It just doesn't feel natural for some reason. I mean you can do two things, "; at someone or "send them a random message", which both aren't very subtle or natural in my opinion. I'm not sure what its like for women on here but we "men" and we are supposed to do the "; thing and approach the girls right?? :) Than why am I on here? Right now, I am not in a position where I get out much to meet many girls. Most weekends I have my son and during the week, between work and exercise, I don't have time to do anything else. :p Ok, about me - I have a professional side that is very serious and determined/motivated. I love what I do for a living, unfortunately, I cannot talk about it and on that note, I am leaving for Afghanistan shortly. If we get to know each other, I have no problem telling you what I do but I just can't put it out there for everyone to see. I also have my fun/goofy side. When I'm not working I love to laugh and just enjoy the moment. I'm one of those that try to find positive things in everything, even negative things. I am pretty active but at the same time I enjoy watching movies and relaxing with a glass of wine or what have you... My son is my world and is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Simons Island, GA -I'm not shallow but physical attraction is a must to me.I have no real expectations of meeting anyone on here but will take a chance, probably just like you.... I prefer not to have a first date, especially meeting someone off the internet. You know it's almost impossible to really describe yourself in this format. It's hard enough to do on a resume that is describing one small (though important) aspect of your life, let alone to describe your life in its totality. I'm a dynamic and multifaceted person, changing everyday, probably just like you are.I like music and books, but I'm a musician and I have a library degree (working as an archivist), so what can you expect? I listen to a little bit of everything musically speaking though I tend towards folky stuff (as in Bluegrass and old-tyme), classic rock, honky-tonk country, and even some harder rock. I like extreme moderation and at times being moderately extreme. I like to stay active and to keep my mind occupied, though I also appreciate quite times for reflection. Something that makes me laugh one day can drive me up the wall another. I love to learn and the great thing about my job is I get to learn something new almost everyday. I believe there is some kind of higher power out there and I don't care what you call it. Though I'm not big into religions, I totally respect someone's right/desire to be. We're all trying to make it through life in the best ways we can and if that helps you, more power to you.I think I have a lot to offer someone who is willing to get to know me. Here are some highlights :-): I'm patient, I like kids, I have fitness goals and have come along way in meeting them, well educated, thoughtful, I'm always seeking new experiences, respectful, can appreciate a quite afternoon or day, and I'm pretty good at making baked goods (though I have to figure out this elevation thing.)I would like to find someone who I can laugh with, enjoy cheesy or artsy movies, listen to good music, take road trips, and just genuinely enjoy each others company. The bottom line is that I'm one of coolest, laid back, and more interesting people you could get to know, whether as friends or more. Let's go grab coffee or a drink, or go for a walk.
