Online dating is great because you can be exposed to people you might not meet otherwise, the downside is you really don't get the most out of it unless you go into it with the healthy mindset of taking things slow and really getting to know someone before you consider a relationship with them. Everyone has the expectations or hope of a relationship and just like real life I want to get to know someone first. It's a matter of self respect and I would hope anyone I meet feels the same way. Everyone can have that initial attraction and then you take it from there and see if your personality is compatible too. I think the whole cliche of writing about long walks on the beach is so silly and insincere in theses things, and if all these single people really like long walks on the beach, how come they aren't meeting on the beach? Haha. I also have funny and sometimes sarcastic sense of humor. I also feel the need to be intellectually stimulated by anyone I meet, I don't just focus on physical attraction. Most of all I would rather explain and talk about myself in person. I don't believe in rushing into anything. I have a lot of self respect and I also want to be with someone with that same level of self respect that wants to make the right choices. Everyone says they don't want games or drama, but I sincerely mean it. I am not looking to be anyone's rebound, or waste time with someone that hasn't gotten everything out of their system already. I'm for real so you should be too. A first date should be casual and relaxed and the focus should be on the conversation and getting to know someone. Coffee or a drink is perfect, maybe a nice walk
