Hey there,I am some what laughing under my breath as I write this because although I have been on and off of here a few times, sadly, I don't think it gets any easier. Lol. If someone could come up with the "Guide to dating" I would be the first one to buy a copy! My last "long term" relationship ended about 1.5 years ago and while the ending of any relationship is never easy I look back at all of them with 0 regrets and am thankful for the time we shared, spent together and mostly for what I learned about myself and how it made me grow.I have dated since, met some truly amazing people (a few of which whom have now become very good friends) but I have yet to be able to find that one that I connect with like no other.I am a bit of a die hard romantic, yes I admit it! I am the GM of a large window manufacturing, sales and *** based out of the area. I love what I do, recently was promoted to the position and fingers crossed, like to think I am also good at it.I would hope that my colleagues if asked would say that I am tough, demanding, expect the best out of them but also that my door is always open, I am approachable, understanding and above all not only respected, but respectful. As for friends and family... I would hope they would say that I am honest, kind, driven, hilarious, passionate, loyal, loving, a great dancer (although we all know that I am not) and above all I would hope that they would say that I am the type of friend, that a friend would like to have. I am slightly old fashioned in some ways as I believe chivalry isn't just a thing of the past. I enjoy holding a door, telling a woman she looks beautiful, sending flowers, walking on the outside when strolling down a side walk and personally believe that when proposing, that a man should always ask for her fathers permission first. (Mind you I have also never been engaged so pure fear could maybe change my mind when the time arrives! lol)In my spare time I love to play golf, be outside, do a garage sale on a Saturday and go for drives in the country in the fall on a Sunday. I love to cook (although some may say its more of an "A" for effort type of thing) eat sushi, try new things and love to be spontaneous at the drop of a hat!I'm out going, very confident, love to love and rarely have a problem with communication. I try and see the good in all situations, learn from my mistakes and take every situation as an opportunity to learn, including from past relationships and my own "heartbreak" "Although the silver lining at the time may be hard to be seen, eventually the light always comes."As for my short comings... I certainly have those but I am aware of them and try to improve upon them the best that I can....I have learned that at times I can be some what impatient, have once or twice possibly "fell" a little to quickly and learned that the word "love" should never be taken lightly or used to freely.Despite the fact that I am a conversationalist and a great communicator I have also recently discovered that even I tend to sometimes hold things on the inside for too long. So from all of this I have now learned to try and simply be more "in the moment" especially when it comes to relationships. I have learned that often its way better to allow things to just unfold naturally, without force, rush or impatience and see where it may or may not go. Simply enjoy what we have in the here and the now.I am proud to say that for the first time in what seems like forever that I am officially 100% finally a non smoker and so proud of it!So, as for what I am hoping to find... Someone with who I have a connection and then to just simply get to know them and just have some fun!!!!! And then see what may... or may not happen? (Because this is meetville I also feel compelled to point out that by fun I am not hinting at 1 night stands lol)No pressure, no rush and no expectations. Again, just enjoy the moment, let's hang out and let things progress and grow as they may.In the end... Hoping to meet someone who is my equal and that can bring a healthy attitude and ideas to the "table" so that possibly it could lead to something long term. Happy Fishing, Entirely open to all options and ideas but I think coffee or a drink is always a good casual starter.
