About Me

I would sum myself up as a hard working, caring and family oriented guy. I work full time as well as being back in school. Ideally, I’m looking to find that one person who I can share life’s journey with. I enjoy having a good time but always make sure I keep up with my chores and responsibilities. So yes I do know how to cook (and really enjoy it), I do my own laundry and keep my house clean. I am definitely not the kind of guy to pass of the chores onto someone else. I tend to keep pretty busy so my free time is very important to me. I have a wide variety of interests and activities that I enjoy. I do like sports quite a bit especially football, hockey and baseball. This past year I have made a major commitment to exercising and eating healthy. I really enjoy working out both for the obvious physical benefits but also as a great stress reliever. As I said above yes I do cook! I keep trying to find new recipes but my favorite is to be outside grilling. My grill is usually open year round unless it’s extremely cold. I really enjoy being outside. I love getting out in that yard and just working in the dirt. I find that’s very relaxing for me. Ok ok I know what you’re thinking boys never grow up we can't resist playing in dirt. I’m guilty then! I also love just going for hikes, bike rides or just to sit outside with a few beers and enjoy the fresh air. I love amusement parks a lot and try to take a few weekend road trips each summer to ride. Basically most anything outdoors is becoming a favorite of mine. Whether it be a trip to the zoo, the park to walk the trail or just lounge around on the patio, it’s refreshing to enjoy nature. I love country music as well as classic rock the most. I’m also a big fan of movies my favorite genres are horror, sci-fi and action. I also love tv shows of the same genres. As I said I do have a wide variety of interests. In general I guess to sum myself up I would say I am a hard working, caring, fun loving fairly simple man. I have tried to make life, where I can, less complicated. I’m looking for someone who shares some of my interests and is looking for a great guy to share our free time together. I’m pretty open about my ideal match as long as we have some similar interests. I am single with no children but I would love to have them someday.     About me... I am a study in contradictions to some degree. I dig the energy of big cities, their architecture, history, culture, vibes, etc. And yet I also need to get away to wide open spaces and be quiet sometimes. I have two beautiful children, 9 and 11. I get to have them half the time. One is on the autism spectrum which is certainly challenging but he is healing everyday and that is exciting. Meals, laundry, cleaning, shopping, schedules... WTH??? But it's fun and rewarding. (BTW - I seriously need pointers on how to time out meals so all the dishes (read: microwaveable food) are ready at the same time.)A few checklist items here: i am NOT into creating/tolerating drama, i am pretty driven/ambitious, i have a car, never forget my wallet, dont have any tattoos (subject to change), solid grilling skillz, not in jail. About who I'm looking for...You gotta be hot. That's just a given. If I reach out to you, its cuz I think u might be hot. Hopefully I am right! After that though, and more importantly, I want a connection/chemistry/magic/etc. And you need to love being with kids - your own if you have them, and potentially/eventually mine... and maybe "ours"... someday, maybe, who knows... I mean, we just met... actually we didn't, but we might. I don't have a long checklist about your interests or background or even personality types. Everyone is different and that is what is fun about this. You do need to generally be a positive person, live a healthy lifestyle, smart, fun and easy-going. And I am not big on flakey girls. Other than that, it's kinda all good.Finally...I love music. Always looking for my next favorite song - often one no one has heard of. Right now its Love Like Rockets by Angels & Airwaves. What's yours? Something crazy extravagant. We'll start with lots of over the top gestures, and long, uncomfortable staring into your eyes (it won't matter if you try to look away). There could be 80s ballads playing in the background, public pronouncements of our blossoming love, our families scattered around (hopefully taking pictures). Then, flash mobs that ideally attract local (at least) media attention and plenty of kids who document everything on Youtube. And chocolate.
