About Me

I visited the area last summer but that was only for a few weeks. Now that I am here for a few months I wanted to meet a nice friend to spend some time. I don't really have hobbies. But, I try to run 5 times a week. I was running a lot but didn't something stupid and got hurt. I am working myself back up. I also tend to read and do some sort of research work. Those are my hobbies. I like to go to different events. I enjoy planning dates since I like to go to places but not by myself. I also like music and would like to go see live music but don't really know the area for that. I tend to go to more rock concerts but would like country and bluegrass. I have gone to tons of Phish shows and even caught a few GD shows with Jerry but I am not really into that so much anymore. While working, I listen to electronic music since it keeps me going. But, I don't really like electronic clubs. I thought I would but too many douche bags there standing around staring at girls. I go to more concert like DJs since they tend to be more dancing and not bumping and grinding. Eventually, I will graduate and get a job doing research. Either as a professor or in a private firm. I like teaching and will end up in the classroom sometime. I just like research right now so I will chase the bigger research budget. Other than that the future is hard. It has been like that for a few years. I'd like to finally get a settled job but whatever. Personally, I am a positive person. I like to think I make others happy around me. That is sort of my goal, to make other's lives a little nicer. I like to smile at people and recognize their presence. I am generally laid back and chill but I do like to plan. Never really was a planner but I have to. Then, once I plan and things change I tend to get closed for a few minutes while I adjust. If it is too big of a change I don't accept and do what I want.What I am looking for is someone who is nice, smart, doesn't like to watch TV all day and is interested in having someone to share time with. If I was planning a first date, I'd like to go to some event or do something. By event I mean something like a fair, music event, speaker or something a little interesting to one of us. I think going to a park and walking or playing some type of activity, like frisbee could be fun. I normally look to see what is happening in the community and just do that. People put a lot of time into putting events on and the least I can do is show up and show appreacition for their hard work. As a student, I'd prefer to get a drink or something light over going out to eat. Plus, eating can make you feel gross and sleepy. Sitting and talking is also a nice date for me. I have gotten more forward but I just might not make the first move. I have gotten better at asking girls out, so one thing at a time.
