I am a fairly reserved and thoughtful guy at first, then tend to open up as I get to know you -- though sometimes there are those unique matches that defy the norm and I open up right away!A friend once called me a Renaissance man.. which I think is a little over the top, but gives you a general idea. I have a lot of interests that tend to be all over the map -- I like staying active and fit but also enjoy more 'left brain' pursuits.As far as activities go, I am an avid road cyclist. I've also been a fairly poor disc golfer for many years. I also really like to travel internationally, dabble in photography, listen to music (almost anything), discuss politics/current events/history, and cook when I have the time. I am a bit of a foodie!What I'm really looking for is an equal relationship. I rather like the freedom of the single life so want to add to this, rather than replace what I have with something completely different. Ideally my partner would be independent as well. What makes it special is what we add to each other and share together. A first date with me doesn't have to be anything grand. I prefer to focus on the person and really get to know him without a lot of distractions. A dinner at a cozy restaurant, going on a hike, maybe a day trip somewhere.
