About Me

I am simply at that point where I would like to find someone to laugh with, share moments with whether it be traveling, going to movies, or sporting events. I try to travel several times a year, and it would be nice to have a companion. It would also be nice to meet someone who can hold a conversation, and has a fun personality.I have two amazing children (daughter and son) who are the most important parts of my life and I take a strong active part in their lives. I hope I can find someone who appreciates that and will take an active part with them, but not looking for someone to jump in and try to play mom or anything. Just someone who repsects them and will enjoy having them around as I do. I am open and willing to do the same for someone else. I have a good career and it can keep me busy at times, but have no issues making time for someone out there.I am not here to play games or waste anyones time. If I make and effort here, send any messages, its due to taking the time to read a profile, review the pictures, and determine the person is of sincere interest. Which means someone I feel I would enjoy being around and getting to know. It would be nice to meet someone attractive and fun, who enjoys laughing, and has an idea of what they want as well. I have reached that point in life where I have spent my time in a long relationship and several years on my own. I would not say I am picky, but from taking that time I am aware of what I want and am looking for. I am not sure about the whole online thing, but all my friends have significant others, and the circle of friends is ok, but not finding anything new or interesting there. I am not into picking up bar flys or one nighters either. I am ready for that next phase of my life and would be great to have someone to laugh with and share in all the events my life brings.If you have read all this, I appreciate it and wish you all luck out there. That can be difficult as the purpose of a first date is to get to know someone, see if there is chemistry, and the desire to lead to a second date. I would say happy hour somewhere to grab a drink or coffee somewhere. To give you time to learn about that person, enjoy that moment of meeting for the first time, and hopefully share a few laughs. Lets be honest, a movie prevents talking, dinner is difficult as you usually need to have an idea of food preferences, and clubs or concerts can be load and distracting.I would say the second date is where the fun can start. If the first goes well, then you try for something like a Cardinals or Blues game depending on the time of year. Still somewhere public and yet a bit more fun and relaxed, where you can see if that initial feeling is still there and growing.

    I Love love love live music! Rock n Roll, Blues, Folk, R&B I don't care. Now that summer is here, I'll try to hit as many rivers as I can with my canoe or kayaks for some good floating fun and peaceful scenery. I've never participated in one before and I'm wicked excited about it! Practicing yoga a couple times a week helps me maintain flexibility, calmness and reduces muscle pains from working out. The simple things, which aren't things at all, move me the most. The drive to be a better person, caring, open minded and considerate of others is what brings peace to me. Yes, I do own a car and house but they are basic necessities for getting through this busy world. However, I am a bit of an internet junky and love catching up on current events. It's a fun job, I work with my family and get to see them regularly. I've worked this job for the last seven years and prior to that I was in the army for 13 years as an Intelligence Analyst. If you're unhappy about your current situation in life, not up for trying something new (even if you think it sucks), complain about your life or the people in it (i.e. exes, co workers, bosses, being broke) or other trivial drama BS, or have low self esteem, then we aren't a match. If you're kind, considerate, compassionate, have drive and motivation for whatever your goals might be, love yourself for who you are and not afraid to explore, we could be a match. I feel whatever we do it should have conversation involved.
