i've never been very good at this sort of thing but here goes: i am a bit of a nerd although i am not good with computers. i collect comic books and am somewhat of a history buff. i have been told i can carry on a pretty good conversation beyond the "hi, how are you? wanna get naked?" routine. i prefer rock and country music but am not opposed to other genres. in the last year i have gotten out of 6 year relationship and started a different job for the first time ever. so...i'm trying to make the adjustment to having time off but now having nobody to spend that time with. i'm at an awkward point where i have no kids but all my friends are married and/or live out of town. sometimes it's just nice to be able to make a connection and talk to somebody even if it doesn't go anywhere. i see alot of bashing of the dinner and movie date on this site. i'm going to defend it. many of my first dates were dinner and a movie. we could talk in the truck on the way to dinner, talk through dinner, then the movie can give us something else to talk about and a little insight as to what the other likes. lol but i've had a couple of bad dinner and movie dates too. however, i would be open to other things.
