About Me

We live to exist in the eyes of another, or so it goes.I expect that's true enough, and though I have all manner of fun with my friends, I'm looking for something beyond what found running in those tight circles. Maybe something like you? I'd love to give some sort of specifications sheet to be ticked off, but neither life nor love tend to work that way in reality, so I'll have to resort to primarily telling you about myself.-I'm not one to sit placidly on the couch all the time. I like to go out several times a week and I belong to several meetup groups. An adventure group, one for hiking, blues music, anime, an electronic music one, it's always a great time. I love books, literature both modern and classic and when I'm feeling a need for pure escapism it tends to be Sci-Fi.Until recently I worked as a luthier, now I've got a normal job and it's fallen to hobby status, but building guitars is my prime artistic outlet. I love to paint and write as well, but neither of those are things I'm especially great at, but I do like trying.-I'm generally reliable, responsible, and forgiving. I'm no kind of flake. My sense of humor tends to be dry, understated and absurd. Probably.-The honest truth is I'm looking for a serious relationship but I'm also up for someone who's just fun to hang out with and talk to, go to meetups with. Maybe someone who plays guitar as badly as I do or wants to collaborate on various artistic endeavors.I'm an independent freestanding individual, I'm not chasing after someone to take care of me.-In the long term I'd like to travel some. When I was younger I went all over the country with my family but I've never left the United States. I'd like to see Western Europe and Japan in particular. I'd also like to hike the Inca trail, a realization I came to when reading someone else's profile on here. Hiking? Sushi? Something in between? The who is more relevant than the what.
