About Me

I am a 50 year old single mom. Happy with my life for the most part. But I'm missing the magic! I have a daughter that is the light of my life, great friends, a job that is far better than tolerable, and a family I'm proud to say is mine. I have no reason to be unhappy, but I would still love to meet a really great guy, and with a little luck, find the magic that is missing in my life.I think it is important to stste that if you are looking for a casual hook-up or expecting some type of finacial gain, please keep looking. I have already been contacted by enough people for the wrong reasons. Also, if you don't care for my profile pics, it's fine by me for you to keep moving. Life has enough ways to knock us down witjout having strangers make unnecessarily mean comments on our pages. Please be nice. Additionally, I feel that it is important to state that I am niether looking for someone to pay my bills or for a father for my child. I am self sufficient and okay with that. All that being said, I am sincere about meeting a good guy and hopefully forging a lasting relationship that makes both of us happy.Best of luck to all those who are in search of the magic!......

If you are not interested in a genuine meeting, please move on. I am looking for a partner to share time and life with, not to *** forth with!I don't drink, smoke or do drugs and am looking for same. Took a long time to get my bunnies and I off the island, years! They are the center of my world! I lived there for 6 years, well, not lived, was trapped more like it! I have 5 bunnies and they are all rescues. They flew with me in the cabin of the plane; I would not have flown them in the belly of a plane, I would not be here right now if that was the only option! The story of our travel is a good one, but longer and is best for a phone conversation, which by the way is my preferred method of communication.I enjoy most things; museums, concerts, city walks, live theater and the symphony. And it would be great to do those things with someone. I am looking for a relationship, companionship and friendship. I am not so interested in dating a bunch of different people, I have grown past that now. I was married for 13 years, divorced now over 6 and it's time I feel.I am starting to question why people are on this site. No one seems to want to meet or even talk on the phone. Whats up with that? You get a 1 sentence ***, maybe, reply back and then nothing. Or they click the want to meet you button and don't ***, so you *** nothing. I don't get it; I am new here but am finding it hard to believe that people actually are successful at meeting real partners and have real relationships from these sites. All the *** have gotten are just chain yankers; it's very confusing and odd!I could not have come home to more beautiful weather! Classic PDX with the tree's and lighting of Autumn! I live downtown and the Park blocks are spectacular! So interesting to watch people.; even more so now than when I left. I do love it here and am so happy to be here and to have the move over with!Well, if you love animals, live in the area and are looking for a good person for a long term relationship, please send an ***! And it's favorable if it is an *** than 1 sentence! Speak on the phone first, then meet for coffee/tea.

I am a ***odd years. I am a workaholic, but would love to meet a nice gentleman with whom to spend the little bit of free time that I do have. I am in my 40s (the upper end of my 40s...sigh....). and am ideally looking to make friends....but if something sparks from that, all the better. Not necessarily looking for "happily ever after" (but not opposed to that, if it happens). I am NOT looking for casual sex or one-night encounters. PLEASE NOTE: sending me messages that contain lewd, obscene or graphic sexual comments will cause me to block you. I work in hospital administration, and also am a writer (I sometimes freelance) and an artist (painter). I enjoy music (classic era rock and roll, classical, jazz, and especially folk), love to cook, though living alone, I don't get a chance to do so very often (pan- Most of what I read tends to be non-fiction, political/editorial types of things (e.g. Tom Friedman, etc.). Not a heavy drinker, though when I let my hair down, I do enjoy a good scotch, a martini or a nice glass of wine. No smoking or illicit drug use. I don't litter and I recycle. I drink WAY too much coffee.Though finding a man to date would be wonderful, I'd also love to make a friend or two. Most of the friends I have no longer live locally at present, so would really enjoy making a few friends locally, if possible.Again I'm absolutely NOT interested in casual sex, one-time encounters, etc. Please excuse my restating this. I just don't want waste anyone else's time -- as well as my own -- so would rather as emphatic about this as I can be. Dinner and/or coffee and dessert, at some smallish venue off the beaten path with candlelight, music (though at low enough a volume to be able to talk and get to know one-another) and a reasonably mellow atmosphere, where they wouldn't mind if we lingered for a couple of extra hours, if we hit it off and were enjoying one-another's company.
