About Me

I'm constantly bewildered by the cruel joke of heterosexuality. Why am I drawn to and attracted to the opposite sex when it appears that everything about us is, indeed, opposite? It seems that men are more suited to living with men, and women with women. So why are we trying to fit a square peg into a round hole (please pardon the pun as I believe I've just answered my own question while philosophizing). I am sort of a walking contradiction in that I love people but am sort of a loner. I'm a little bit country, but I'm also a little bit rock 'n' roll. I love to go for a long hike in the woods with my dogs, but when I get home I might blast some Radiohead or Pink Floyd... or Johnny Cash. Then there's big band music! So much to choose from...I like social gatherings but I'm more likely to enjoy doing something productive. Most of my hobbies entail solitude. Things like painting, writing (screenplays mostly), hiking, biking, hanging out with my dogs. Very dedicated to my dysfunctional family, as well. I'm not a huge fan of television but do like public TV and a few cable shows like "Curb Your Enthusiasm." I could watch that show for hours. Also like Mad Men and a guilty pleasure is "The Bachelor". I can be too serious/cynical about life sometimes but when my mind is free from worrying about my family, my friends and the planet, I can be a hell of a lot of fun! I love to laugh but I also can appreciate a peaceful Sunday morning drinking coffee, listening to music and reading the paper. (One stripper said that a raisin was once originally a pickle--I'm sorry, it's cruel but it makes me feel better about myself!) I'm a pescatarian and would prefer someone that's not big on eating meat. Also would love someone who is outdoorsy and more of a homebody than an adventurer.I've been told I'm a gay man trapped in a woman's body. Maybe you should be a lesbian trapped in a man's body? First date should always be quick and painless, like ripping off a band-aid, just to see if there is chemistry. A quick dinner/drink or lunch is preferred. If we make it to the second date, I'd like to take a day trip to a city I've never been to before (provided I'm driving so you can't try to kidnap me, only to be seen again on milk cartons--Have you seen this girl?) and explore the local culture. Restaurants, shops, art museums, plays, etc. If the day goes well, the drive back home exchanging time on the iPods (which we'll bring on the first date, of course) should be titillating!

Woman. 43 years old. Zodiac sign: Scorpio.

Looking for: man. In age: 40-50

I think of myself as a fun, caring, and generous person. I love adventure but I also love a quiet night at home. I love to travel and explore new cities and cultures. I love my job as each day is different and I never know what to expect. I am 5'11 and I suppose on the slender side. I like to keep fit by doing yoga, taking dance classes and working out. My family is very important to me even though we don't live that close to each other we support each other visit as often as possible. I am looking for someone to enhance my life; someone to make me laugh and have stimulating conversation with; someone I can relax with as well as go out and explore the city; someone to be romantic and intimate with; someone I can cook for and sip wine fine with. Thats me in a nutshell. Sitting on a patio or outside at a coffee shop. Going for a walk by the beach or exploring a new part of the city.

I like to BBQ, eat Spicy Foods, and wash it all down with a Cold Beer or two. I love to cook and try new things from other cultures.I love Palm Trees & Warm White Sand between my toes. I love going barefoot. My Dogs and my horses keep me sane. I have a great career and love my job. I listen to the 102.1 The Edge (usually) but I loveRetro Anything and have weaknesses for other more alternative music types.I'll try anything Once (twice if I like it)I like toTravel.I love Watching the skies at night sitting around a campfire.I have a sharp sense of humour and I really want to meet someone who can make me laugh without behaving like a twelve year old.I'm looking for a guy that keeps me laughing and makes me blush like a school girl every time he looks at me. The Ying to my Yang.I'm a pretty easy going person, honest, hard working, sincere, faithful and very 'low maintenance'. LOL Really, the meet and greet could be going somewhere for a drink, some great conversation and/ or an unpretentious lunch (or dinner) somewhere. No anxieties, pressure or expectations required.
