Woman. 42 years old. Zodiac sign: Aquarius.
Looking for: man. In age: 39-49
I'm generally a happy person and feel very grateful for all the blessings in my life, but still looking for the blessing of a good man...I try to appreciate or at least learn from everything life serves up (the bad as well as the good). I am interested in many things, including all sorts of music, yoga, good wine & food, sailing, hiking, reading, museums, beaches, traveling, discussing philosophy/spirituality and I'm always open to new experiences. I have, and appreciate in others, a good sense of humor, an out-of-the-box way of thinking, the ability to have an interesting conversation, a strong sense of integrity and honesty, a certain amount of annoyance with superficiality and people who don't think for themselves. I'm looking for a solid partnership - someone who'll support my growth as a person and let me support theirs. I have a tendency to think too much, so someone who's occasionally silly is probably good for me. Fun is important, as is lots of passion and physical chemistry.I tend to be most attracted to men who are intelligent, confident and well spoken. My ideal match should be similar enough to me so that we can communicate but not so similar that there's no 'fire.' I like a little bit of sparring every now and then, a little bit of wickedness. At the same time, (cliche alert!) we should be able to sit back by the fire on an autumn day and read the Times together pleasantly, too. It's really a matter of balance. Someone who likes to sail would be great. I prefer guys who aren't of small build (and no I'm not referring to THAT), I just like a guy that I feel like a little woman next to, somebody huggable and with whom I can roughhouse every now and then. No atheists/agnostics, please. A first date should be somewhere we can talk (without having to shout) and get to know each other a bit.

Woman. 42 years old. Zodiac sign: Scorpio.
Looking for: man. In age: 39-49
I'm a vivacious woman who wears her heart on her sleeve; but don't let that fool you! I am anything BUT weak or dramatic! I love to laugh and can usually be found with a smile on my face. I am very proud of my accomplishments in life and work hard to achieve all of my goals. I try to surround myself with other genuine and fun people who share the same values that I do. I am outgoing* and enjoy spending time with friends and meeting new people. But I also enjoy quiet nights at home snuggled on the couch or sitting outside just listening to peepers or looking at the stars. (*When it comes to romantic interest, I get SHY and prefer a man who will a)spell out his interest and b) make the first move! So I may "show interest" but I am likely to wait to get an *** first.)Turn ons:animals, the beach, books, working out, exploring, music, traveling, adventure, SLEEP, laughter, passion, true genuine kindness, self-confidence, self-awareness, date night IN, feeling valued and attractive and making others feel the same, and turning the ordinary into the extraordinaryTurn offs:people who are too familiar too soon, self-absorption, deception, cowardice, ***, meanness, couch potatoes. computer/cellphone/facebook/video game addicts, no strings sex, too many compliments before someone has even met meDealbreakers: intolerance to cats (I'm not a crazy cat lady but I do have 2 loving cats who like to love on their humans and share space-SO, with that said, if you want to spend time with me at my place, you have to be able to tolerate 2 very sweet, loving cats.), drug use-yes I consider pot a drug, cigarette smoking, chewing tobacco, no emotional availability. These are the big ones that come to mind.Although I have lived all over, I consider myself a free spirited girl with a southern heart. Ultimately I am hoping to find a good, kind, funny, affectionate man who knows how to treat a lady; In the meantime, I like making new friends, having a date and talking about movies, music, politics, books, and learning about others. Maybe bowling or putt putt? Except my competitive side could emerge! But I think it allows for conversation, some laughs and activity without looking a fool??? (ok except for the ridiculous bowling shoes!) :)
