Hello! I am the proud mother of five children (yes, really!), some of whom have flown the nest. They are the dearest "things" to my heart and give me a reason to get up with a smile on my face every morning!In my "first life" I was a teacher. Then I stayed at home with my kids for many years, and I currently work as a RN, and I love it! Granted some days (nights, actually) are trying...but I feel such a sense of fulfillment when I know I have truly touched the life of a patient and his or her family, whether through simply providing medical care, or even better, emotional support during a difficult time. In my free time...wait, what is free time?? Just kidding - I am learning to MAKE time for me by being outdoors taking a walk along the TH River, working in the yard, or just hanging out on my screened porch. You are more likely to find me with my iPod playing tunes than with a remote control in my hand.-..I could go on and on. And live music makes my heart go pitter-pat!! I also enjoy dining out (who doesn't?), sipping Chardonnay, camping, and occasionally smoking a good cigar. (Yes, I AM a female. Just in case the cigar part made you worried.)I love to laugh and tend to view even difficult situations with a sense of humor. I will even laugh at myself - in fact, I kind of crack myself up!) sense of humor. I am also a deep thinker and can have a serious side as well. And I'm a hopeless romantic, despite walking through a divorce after 24 years of marriage.When I grow up, I hope to travel and see more of this spinning ball. My bucket list includes a trip to Kenya some day - I currently sponsor two children there in their endeavors to get an education. And I am determined to own a Scooby Doo van (ie VW camper van, painted hippie-style, of course) and toodle around the country, embarrassing my children by visiting them and parking in their driveways.I would love to make new friends from this website, but ultimately I'm not looking for a casual dating relationship.*If you contact me and don't hear from me for a few days, please be patient. My work schedule is typically three in a row and leaves little time for anything other than working, sleeping, and occasionally eating and using the bathroom, if I'm really lucky! :)* I'm open to pretty much anything, as long as it involves "get to know you" time. Not wild about just a movie as a first date, unless there is going to be time for conversation included. Oh, and let's not go skydiving as a first date, 'k? I like to read, alot! I play around on the computer, nothing serious. I just took up Disc Golf. I really like it, but I'm not to good at it. Never been to athletic so this is a real challenge for me! Love to fish, but I don't clean em or cook em! LOL! I don't get to go much and I'm not to good at it either, but I still love it! Plus I can bait my own hook!! I work a ***hr week and my off days are during the week so that puts a serious crimp on any kind of week-end plans. :-( Not looking for love, just someone to hang with and do things with. As you can see in my profile I am separated but not divorced. We do not live together and have not for over 4 years. I know it sounds weird but there are reasons. I have a house which I share with my sister and her son. One day I might find a reason to make the final break, but not so far! I have to work a lot so I don't have much time to meet people let alone someone to date! I thought I would try this to cut through some of the hunting phase. No luck so far! Sigh! But I'm trying! P.S. I love spending time with my granddaughter so If you can't hang with being around a loud 4 year old don't message me! lol! Well I Don't Know!! I haven't been on to many dates in the last thousand years!!! Dinner, movie, Fishing, coffee, drinks, I don't know, I'm not much of a planner! And I am not hard to please! At least "I" don't think so!!
