I'm tired of the games and the lies,besides Aren't we too old for games? Why do men hide if they meet and they decide they aren't compatable? Not all women are fragile or psycho, some of us more adult women will actually respect you for saying "I'm sorry its there won't be another date". So men suck it up and grow up and actually be the man you say you are. You'll at least have my respect. I love my job and seem to do rather well at it. I want to do some traveling now that my children are older and I am looking for someone genuine to spend some quality time with. I'd like to experience the things life has to offer. I don't need your money I have my own. I am not interested in what you own, they are only things, they do not make you who you are, but I am interested in you and what we could share together. I want to find someone I can be friends with first and get to know to build something lasting. (If you aren't interested in a friendship that could turn into a long term relationship please don't waste my time or yours.) I want to find someone to date who wants to put effort into getting to know me and doesn't want to keep fishing for something better because, really how do you really get to truly know someone and build a relationship when your still looking for someone else. You can't. If I'm not good enough that you'd need to continue looking then I'm not your filler woman till better is found. I won't make you a filler fish, don't make me your filler fish lol. Someone who wants to know how my day was or enjoys the daily Txt saying "have a nice day" or "I'm thinking of you" I don't want someone who is just looking for a sex friend. If that's you just keep moving and don't bother me. I saw this and thought it was rather fitting for how I feel. "I may not be the most beautiful or sexiest, nor do I have the"perfect body". I might not be someones first choice, but I'm a great choice. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not, because I'm good at being me. I'm not proud of some of the things I've done in the past, but I'm proud of who I am today. Take me as I am or watch me as I walk away"Why sit idly by and let life pass you by? Dating shouldn't be so hard, but it seems to be.My closest friends would describe me as being a little shy. I'm not much of a social butterfly when I'm around people I don't know, but I will strike up a conversation. I don't like to talk about myself, but I will ask questions to get to know people. When I set my mind to something, I usually get it done. Case in point, I graduated college last year. I went non-stop for three years while working a full-time job, and I really had to take a year off just to recover. Needless to say, I haven't had much of a social life. I yell and cuss at the tv when I'm watching football. I'm so glad football season is here!! I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl. I would like to lose a few pounds; who doesn't. I am an average size 12. I have just the right amount of curves because, hey, I AM a woman. I've read some of the profiles on here where some of you guys are looking for someone fit. Well, that's not me, not in that sense anyway. I'm healthy, and I'm okay with that. I smoked for 20 years and quit almost seven years ago. I also quit drinking when I quit smoking. To me, smoking and drinking went hand in hand. I don't mind if you drink, but that's the reason I don't.Random thoughts: My favorite time of the year is fall. My favorite month is October - for the weather, the fall colors, and, of course football. My favorite color is blue. My favorite baseball team is the NY Mets. My favorite group of all time is Journey. I prefer to listen to 80s music on cd than the car radio. The cd in my car I am currently listening to is Def Leppard Greatest Hits. I DON'T like facial hair on guys - beards, moustaches, goatees - some times I think you guys look better without those. Currently playing on my ipod is Saga - Wind Him Up. Gosh, remember that song??? That was one of my favorite songs on the album. My mom is Irish, so I'm half-Irish. My best feature, in my opinion: my eyes. I have blue eyes, light brown hair, fair skin, and I look younger than my age. I hope your passport is current!Right now I'm hoping to meet someone closer to my age who is nice, honest, loyal, cute and sweet, a good communicator, and trustworthy with just the right amount of chemistry who won't mind starting off as friends first.
