About Me

I am an educated, compassionate, outgoing, fun, loyal and emotionally secure female, who is optimistic and very loving. I have learned to appreciate the little things in life and try not to sweat the small stuff. I am very easy going and very much believe that the purpose of life is about sharing and caring with and about all the people we come across in our lives. Even just a smile to a stranger on the street can make a difference to someone who is having a very bad day. I love giving back, especially to children. There is nothing better than a big smile or laughter from a child. I do volunteer at the local schools in my community as often as time allows. I enjoy hip hop, r&b and old school music but I do listen to my teenage son's I Pod from time to time. I have a wonderful career and I have a pretty cool boss(me). I have been self employed and in the Insurance Industry for 14 years. I am fortunate enough to make my own schedule, so I am able to spend more time with the people I care about. I am very blessed with wonderful family and friends. My son is now 19 and off at college playing basketball for Cal State East Bay (Go Pioneers!) so I am beginning a new phase in my life and have the time to concentrate on looking for that special someone, my other half, my partner in crime. I am not in a hurry and plan on enjoying this new chapter in my book of life until the right person comes along. Now that I have more time for myself, I have begun working out about 3x a week and I really enjoy it. I am a very passionate person who enjoys intimacy and kissing. Unfortunately, making out seems to be a lost art. I believe that foreplay isn't just about the physical, it is about the mental stimulation, thoughtfulness and communication you give to your partner, that takes place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.     Hi there! If you quote Anchorman on a semi-regular basis, I already like you, lol. People usually find me amusing and energetic, I love to laugh and find small things exciting more than most, lol. A sense of humor is absolutely key. I like people who are always looking for the humor in life's situations - um, how else does one cope, I've never understood ;). If it wasn't such a chicken and could take rejection better I would have tried to do stand up! I can be a leader or a team player depending on the situation, easy to get along with in most situations. I always feel younger than I am on paper and I have told I am 'young at heart' and 'life of the party' quite often... I LOVE all types of music. It's not a decision one should take lightly, even if I am one to lighten things up most of the time ;).I have entered into the healing/holistic realm the last few years and have my own massage business that I operate part time right now. Going to a musuem or music venue is also fun. I am not as picky about what we do as getting to know the other person :). I guess the main thing on a first or any date is man that knows how to treat a woman. I am not uptight by any means! I go with the flow and want to have fun for sure, but a man that has manners is the main thing I look for. You can learn a lot about someone by the way they are on the first date ;). I'm not saying I can't open my own door and pull out my chair, I'm just saying, the integrity factor is going to come through no matter what you do on a date :).
