I'm classy, sassy, elegant and refined and I adore wearing retro & vintage dresses one day; and, the next I'm wearing jeans and enjoying a beer at a local dive bar. I'm a chameleon and a contradiction and I fit in anywhere and with anyone! However, my favorite outfit is a skirt with heels and silk stockings. Beware: I have a serious polka-dot obsession! I still have Midwestern values and a strong work ethic.Music is an absolutely HUGE passion of mine. I'm a devout listener and supporter of KEXP. My favorite genre is Indie and alt-rock. I go to concerts/shows several times a month. Some of the most recent shows I've been to are: Band of Horses, Cloud Cult, Rose Windows, Mudhoney, Black Flag, Best Coast, The Eels, & the Joy Formidable. I really dig 80's music and am quite fond of: The Clash, The Ramones, The Cure, The Smiths, Joy Division, New Order, Depeche Mode, The Stone Roses, Bauhaus, Erasure and the Descendents will always be my favorite!I have two adorable children, a son & daughter whom are precious to me and are my priority. I am committed to raising them to be fine, outstanding humans. I'm a package deal, guys! You can't have me without my kids. But don't worry, they already have an amazing father.I am incredibly lucky to have a career that I love and is quite rewarding. I actually wake up excited to go to work every day. I can honestly say that I make a difference in someone's life daily and this is very fulfilling. My career has spanned 20 years and I still am doing something that I am greatly passionate about and it brings me joy. I feel like I won the lottery!For fun, I like to belly dance, go see shows/concerts, frequent indie coffee shops, go thrift-store shopping for amazing treasures, exploring the city and different neighborhoods, attend film, dinners, happy hour, house parties, art museums, poetry readings, hiking in the summer, road trips, and traveling.I believe in taking very good care of myself therefore I'm a devout vegetarian and have been for ***years. I eat healthy, exercise, meditate, do yoga & qigong daily. I believe in prescribing meditation *** "medication". It's amazing what just 10 minutes a day of meditation will do for you.     I'm a fan of laughing - out loud and my neighbours will know when I'm watching The Big Bang Theory or Modern Family.I'm not afraid to cry - which normally happens when watching heart wrenching movies on long haul flights (why do they always have them on such flights?)Long haul flights are the only way I sit still for long enough to watch mulitple movies.I tend to be more active - taking part in half Marathons is my thing in ***.Climbing Kilimanjaro for charity was my thing for ***. Salsa is up beat and energetic - bit like myself!- hip hop - old style in the RnB cave of The Globe - RiRa or the industrial hall of The POD.- everything from Metallica to Swedish House Mafia(great for the gym)I'm lucky that my job means I get to travel occasionally and I've friends who have kindly moved to other countries.In case it's not clear - I love to travel so far I've reached parts of North Africa, Asia, Central Amercia, Europe, Scandanavia, South Africa, North America, Middle East I've plenty more to go - South America being within my sights.- but I'll leave that for later years.As the saying goes - Dogs have Masters - Cats have slavesMy friends in one word described me as loyal Sky diving perhaps? or more realistically a coffee and some waffle!
