A brief synopsis of me....I am a single mom, with great friends and my family and love to laugh. My kids are still youngish and they are my priority...and while my mom side and my own me side are separate, it is inevitable that should a connection exist, there will be some overlap. If this isn't in your comfort zone, then I am not for you. I enjoy being active and have been known to adventure and tackle a few challenges here and there. I am fit, but I am not ultra-fit or built like it, but definitely make staying active a big part of my life and make it happen daily. I am always looking at new ways to make that happen in fun ways. I like to think I'm quick witted and think I'm pretty good at dishing it out, and taking it. Sarcasm and witty banter is most definitely something that makes me smile. I am up front and honest and am only looking for the same. I can ask the hard question, give the hard answer and pretty much feel like it should just be told the way it is. For better or for worse, I wear my heart on my sleeve and my loyalty to my friends and family is unwavering. That said, I'm confident in what I want and what I have to offer and don't think it serves anyone to settle. I absolutely believe that you get what you give and that life is far too short to not take a few risks and go out on a few limbs...it's the only life we have and I kind of subscribe to the notion that I won't regret what I did...only what I chose not to try.I prefer an intimate group of friends to a room full of strangers, but am certainly able to hold my own in any venue. I can be reserved and somewhat shy by nature initially, but once I hit that ultimate comfort zone, watch out! Jeans and flip flops; little black dress and heels; business attire...all within my comfort zone.I have been here on and off at various times. I've met some nice people, remain great friends with some, but for me, I haven't made the connection I would like to, so here I am. My profile says that I am looking for a relationship...that's kind of a hard one. While ultimately I am, that will happen when it's the right time and the right connection and new friends can't really be a bad thing :)I have posted a pic and really ask the same, or if you aren't comfortable with that, please send one along. We all like to know who we are talking with :) Here's my black and white though....I am looking to meet someone that I connect with; someone to laugh and share fun times with; someone honest and open and real. I am not interested in flings or serial dating. I think life is nicer when you have that special someone to share the adventure with! When I meet that someone, I won't be choosing to date others, and ultimately, that someone should be of the same mindset. For me, it is also important that your past is your past. We all have the experiences that have shaped us over the years, some good, some bad. I also know there are always bumps in the road, but in general my bags are neatly packed, and I expect the same :)Okay...so apparently that wasn't so brief ;) Did I mention I can ramble? I'm the kind of girl who tries to pick someone up when they're feeling down, and takes care of those that are closest to me. What can I say? It's in my nature to nurture! I like to think of my glass as 'half full', and try to maintain a positive outlook on life and love. I like to laugh - a LOT, but you'll also find me reaching for the tissue box during a sad movie....Incredibly romantic, I love to surprise and to be surprised; love notes in special places, phone calls or texts just to say you're thinking about me, or a candlelit picnic on the living room floor. I think that romance should come from the heart - not necessarily the wallet - and that random acts of kindness along with imagination and creativity can go a long way in showing someone how much you care.I sincerely believe that it's the little things in life, and yes - in a relationship - that often mean the most and make the biggest impact! *S*Having been in the same profession for nearly 20 years, and self employed for the past 13, I’ve acquired all of the ‘trappings’ that keep me comfortable and content. I lead a very quiet and simple life, filled with work, great friends and a wonderful close-knit family. I enjoy a good book while curled up under the blanket, movies of any genre, board games and music of all types. I LOVE to cook, and I hope to find someone who shares in that passion, or at the very least, has a BIG appetite! I have a huge soft spot for children and animals, and happen to have 2 kitties of my own, Allie and Zoey. Communication is key for me in any relationship, I want my partner to be my best friend; Someone I can talk to about anything and everything, or say nothing at all and still have the best conversation with only a look....I want to meet a man who can still be a boy - but knows when the right time is to be either/or. Someone who is grounded, but still not afraid to dream and count the stars with me. A person who'll not only make me laugh, but who can appreciate and understand my own twisted sense of humour.
