I consider myself an easy going, open minded individual. I enjoy leading an active life. I am a part-time fitness *** personal trainer, so I enjoy any activities that involve movement! I like going to the gym, but also like outdoor activities like hiking, camping, cycling, canoeing..etc. I enjoy the sun and the beach during the summer, so you won't catch me much indoors. I love socializing with friends and people! I definitely would consider myself a "people" person and like doing activities both one on one and in small/large group settings. I am very interested in health and wellness topics, but really am interested in learning anything new anyone can teach me!! I believe having a "life long learning attitude" helps us grow as individuals and helps us to continue moving forward to reach our full potential. I consider myself a very positive person, and am looking to meet a person who also shares similar interests, attitudes and beliefs! :)

I would like to think that my last few years of single life have taught me a few things about myself.I've learned that patience is always a virtue, but sometimes too much can cause problems.I've learned that compromise is important but you also need to not be as flexible.I've learned that laughter is essential in everyday life along with hugs and kisses and hand holding. And most of all I have learned that you must must must communicate, no communication leads to confusion, leads to sadness, leads to misunderstandings and then everyone gets hurt.I'm a single mom who is involved in my childs life. My child will always be #1, never #2.I volunteer often for different things, they bring a bit of peace to my heart knowing I did something good for someone.I do enjoy different types of outings, movies, dinners out, music, comedy, or just a nice stroll somewhere to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature. But you can't beat a nice quiet night in with a silly movie, a serious movie or just a plain old scary movie....and a nice bottle of wine. Spending time with that special someone is important to me, but I do realize that space is needed sometimes to regroup and breathe.I have chosen a serious relationship as my ultimate goal, but first ....gotta meet, gotta date, gotta see if we can even stand eachother. Unless of course someone has invented a time warp to get us past the awkward confusing part of dating and get to the good stuff!!

Woman. 44 years old. Zodiac sign: Aries.
Looking for: man. In age: 41-51
I love movies, theatre (watching and performing in), music, getting lost in a good book, keeping fit and being a student of life. I'm interested in other cultures and what makes people tick. People find me amusing, friendly and a bit crazy :) This all helps me work with getting High School students through, "when am I ever going to use this?!" moments. :p A sense of humour, or even better wit, are far more impressive to me than any car or thing. I'm looking for someone who is not only fun to be around but also loving, respectful and compassionate. Someone to share love, laughter and life with... who maybe loves clever comedy, is a bit nerdy/geeky/literate (ie. saw The Hobbit and The Great Gatsby!), has warm, smiling eyes, and if not loves the arts, at least has an appreciation for them. I have a good life, good friends and great sons, all I'd like now is the Great Guy! :)I recently wrote this to someone and think I need to add this to my profile since I'm in the Land of the Outdoorsy, I'm feeling like a fish out of water...I recently came to the realization that if some people are 'outdoorsy' than that would mean others could be 'indoorsy' and to be honest, that's where I put myself. That doesn't mean 'couch potato' just that I love going out for dinner, wandering around museums and/or bookstores, new towns/cities, antique stores, taking in live theatre or music, talking to people, good-friend gatherings, or watching a good movie. That's what 'rows my boat' as it were.. I do have a goofy Golden Retriever though, and we love to go walking - town, beach or woods. I have ventured out of (and realize the importance of stepping out of) my 'comfort zones', eg. rock climbing, snow shoeing and surfing (thanks to my sons!). I am quite willing and love the challenge but do require a bit of a nudge sometimes. :) perhaps a lunch date and a stroll afterward...
