Hi!I have a great career that is chugging along nicely, one that I enjoy and I appreciate the life it affords me. Like many others here, I have great friends and family (I swear, mine are better ;-) that I take the time to enjoy as much as I can. I have been called a foodie (I could be called worse) and I enjoy experimenting with food and wine both in our fantastic city at large and at home in my kitchen. I love to cook but it is always more fun with a sous chef at my side and a glass of wine in my hand. I have traveled quite extensively which has only proven to me that there is so much more to see and experience.... I am in my happy place when exploring hidden gems of the world.) I enjoy being outside on the ocean, on the mountains or in the city. I love to snowboard and "surf"..see foodie reference above) to cuddled up to watch a good movie or an episode of the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Shameless or The Newsroom.My "fit" would be a man with a little edge- and by that i do not mean face-tattoo-edge - I mean witty and would feel comfortable at an indie concert or a wine tasting, and someone with varied life experiences.I am independent and self sufficient but I would like to meet that one man I can consider a partner in the true sense of the word - to take care of each other when one needs care, to share in life's realities, humour, dreams, hardships, and successes. I wanted a new environment for my boys, one filled with nature and culture. I love this town and the kind people in it. I'm continuing on with my volunteer work and I feel this town is filled with a giving and sweet spirit.I have been single now for 4 years and have enjoyed that time, raising my boys on my own and getting back to work. I hope to meet someone who is fun, enjoys the outdoors, likes kids, is responsible and honest....as those are all qualities I like in myself. It's just me and my boys....and a ridiculous looking dog right now. It would be fun to meet someone emotionally and financially secure. And I prefer to think that it just "happens". Love is pretty cool !! It's been a long time since I dated. I think I would most enjoy a nice dinner in a restaurant, sharing stories and getting to know one another. Anything outdoors too, would be a great time. I could never live in a big city again. I need fresh air, clean water, green spaces. So anything related to that would be a great date for me.

I am a 43 year old woman with 2 boys that are the best things I've done in my life! I am more a winter girl than a summer one, so I guess I live in the right province. I have playedsports all my life, up until recently I was still playing softball, but then 40 came and I stopped beingable to play at the level I wanted, so I packed up the bag and retired haha. At this stage of my life I am donewith the game playing of my younger years. I no longer have the will or desire for any of that. I am looking for someonewho is in the same stage of life as me. Once you hit 40, something changed. All of my priorities changed and I started to realize that life really is short, and you need to really live in the moment, and stop putting things off untiltomorrow, because you just never know if there will be a tomorrow. I have so much love to give, I am looking for someone to share it allwith. Loyalty, respect, love, kindness, patients, and love for my boys are on the top of my list, and I will not tolerate anyone who is a game player, or is not willing to put in the effort to make a relationship work. I don't expectanyone to do anything that I am not willing to do myself. I know that I sound a bit ridged, and harsh, but the truth is " I am just a girl looking for a boy " someone to love meand share the good and the bad that life throws our way as well as have a whole lot of fun along the way. I would leave the decision of the first date to the man, but I would love in the summer going out for dinner on a beautiful patio sipping margaritas quietly getting to know each other. After dinner go for a walk along the beachtalking and watching the sunset. If the time is right stealing that first kiss.If it is fall or winter time long walk in the fallen leaves, talking, getting to know each other possibly if the time is right holding hands. Later, sitting by the fire, possibly having drinks, or sipping hot chocolate. Hopefully feeling the connection and wanting to see each other again.There are so many things to do, but really until you get to know each other's likes and dislikes, a nice dinner and goodconversation would be wonderful.
