Challenge: Finding "normal" people using the Internet. Results: Mixed. We've all got quirks that seem strange to somebody; the trick is to find the person who likes yours! My parents are still crazy about one another, so, ever optimistic, I've decided to settle for nothing less. Imagine my surprise upon learning that finding one's ideal mate isn't as easy as it looks!; I freely share my opinions, my time and my dessert. After some initial girly wussiness, I dive right in to whatever I'm doing, and I usually want to know about everything, so I absorb enough random information to make an excellent trivia partner. I can't live without my r&b, soul, hip-hop and rock music, so I hope you can handle singing/boogie-ing from the passenger seat. Better yet, surrender to the music and join in! An independent streak has me doing my own home repairs and I'm always wishing I had more tools. I've found that working on any project with a partner can be fun, whether it's demolition or making dinner. However, I'll probably always hate doing my own yard work, so that job is definitely up for hire! I love an infectious sense of humor and thoughtful gestures, but above all, I need to know my partner can handle whatever comes our way. A strong work ethic is very important, but so is the ability to let go and leave work at the workplace.Lists can be great for clarifying what you want, but the heart is a funny thing. When it works, it just works. ...Now, I'm new to this site, but does anyone else think "Do you have a car" seems a little out of place amongst questions about actual deal breakers?! Ha! First dates are enough pressure--keep it simple! A chance to chat with something going on in the background is all you need.
