About Me

Well...I'm trying this again it seems! Yay???? Ha! Not so much! The short of it at this point...although I'm never short on words...is that I have been back in the area for almost two years now after having been away for almost 15 years. I met someone pretty shortly after my move, but it just didn't end up working out despite all the effort in the world. Sooooo...This is Online Dating, Take 2!!! How's that for trying to think positive?!? So, in more than one way, I have my life back, you see...So, here I am! In a nutshell...I am a former teacher turned professor and have been working in higher education since ***. I am most certainly in the job of my dreams and am doing my very best to be my very best in it. That's pretty much how I do most things and it seems to be working for me for the most part! At this point, I am very happy with what I have been able to do with my life so far and am now looking forward to setting goals with someone else for all the exciting things that could come next. :) When it comes to interests or activities? I will take a stab at just about anything...unless it's going to hurt...I'll likely stay away from that if at all possible at this point in my life. Whoops! I did not see that one coming at ALL! I would not say I am really good at running, but I am excellent at racing against myself and sometimes pushing my limits significantly (obviously!). I love to do things that take place outside...Biking, hiking, camping, concerts, festivals, etc., so if you are into that sort of thing, that would be a bonus! Of course, I am an excellent talker...Typical, right??? :) I swear I can shut up. I promise! So...When it comes to a first date and this online business (and based on my experiences up to this point), I would prefer to get away from typing/texting as soon as possible and just plain meet for a beverage or something. Honestly, I'd even like to skip the phone! Real life is where true compatibility can be determined. I'm sure you've had the experience where all the extended fingertip tapping has you thinking you've found the girl of your dreams and then it just doesn't translate in person, right? Let's just not have that! Of course, beyond that, I can think of all kinds of super fun (and even romantical) things that could happen...Feel free to be the first man to ever truly sweep me off my feet. You'd be a dream come true! (And, I do know that romantical is not a real word...It just makes me giggle.) :)

    Hi, and thanks for taking a second look. A little about me - I love to read (just about anything - from "how to" books, true crime, gory horror novels, and even cheesy romance ones and typical girly fashion magazines). I'm also a bit of a techie these days since my job requires me to be up on all the latest technology trends. When I'm not doing all this nerdy stuff, I'm at the gym getting my sweat on - cardio, weights, the whole bit.- they are beautiful! We're very lucky to live in such an amazing city. During hockey season I like to go to Pens games when I can score some tickets, and also like to go to a little sports bar to eat wings and catch a game! I'd like to learn how to golf one day so I'm putting it in my interests (in hopes of getting an *** bonus!). I can watch golf on TV all day long. Never learned how to play though (I'll tell you why one day). What I'm looking for in a guy - well I'm not going to make a long wish list but I do have a few "musts". I work extremely hard to keep in shape and would like to meet someone that shares a passion for staying active. I'm not a complete health nut and in fact I love chocolate more than life itself, but my motto is "when the jeans feel tight, it's time to eat right"). Yeah that was corny but I'm keeping it here. :) I know this is a free site and all, so by putting this profile out here I'm opening myself to all kinda riff raff, but I do ask one thing - If you are going to ***, please *** a complete sentence *** just "whats up" or "hi" or something like that.
