So, I'd actually like to date again. Maybe this isn't the best time but I never listen to what others tell me anyways. I want to find someone who is a friend first, whom I am attracted to, comfortable with, can laugh with, can hold an actual intelligent, fun conversation with, and maybe spoon while watching a movie. You know when you've got "it" (chemistry) or not. I know I say "dating, nothing serious, no commitment" in my profile, but you never can tell when you'll meet "that" person who changes your mind. At least I am trying to keep an open mind. Kind of hard to do after the BS I've witnessed since I have been back on here. I used to be an ER/Trauma nurse in a past life. I am busy but can manage and make time to have a social life.;, curvy, sometimes I wear my glasses. I love my daughter, books, art, sarcasm, humor, food, cooking, travel, hockey, baseball, beer, horses...and fun. I've come to appreciate the simple things in life after a rough year. Life is complicated but manageable and enjoyable. I'm looking for a partner who can handle the good with the not-so-great. No one is perfect and I look to find someone who can handle that truth. I try to appreciate life daily and I want someone to enjoy that with me. So, no flakes please. *Oh, and I am 38, not 40. I am a professional with a flare for the dramatic! Not in the crazy, watch out, sort of dramatic sense, but in the, I sew my own renaissance garb and love being on stage kind of dramatic. I have one daughter at home and two that have left the nest, I stay very busy with my daughter, sewing and of course my horse when time permits. I would love to meet someone easy going, honest, and not afraid to open a door now and then. I don't believe chivalry should be dead and I think the art of being a lady is often lost lately. Magical first date: if I put the fantasy to paper, I would say the date should start with a knock on the door with flowers, a quiet dinner with candlelight and wine, long quiet conversation, maybe a stolen brush of the hand or a lingering glance... If the moon was full, a walk might be nice, and the date could end with a soft kiss if the mood was right. Or.. A BBQ dinner, some boot scootin and a bonfire could work too.. But warn a gal how she should dress!
