About Me

What to share about myself, hmmmmm. Am I playing down my overwhelming abundance of charming personality traits or am I presenting myself in such a picturesque manner that I appear to be horribly arrogant and self-centered? That’s a tough one. If you’re comfortable with what you read, then let’s chat. So, when it comes to interests and activities, I’m honestly up for nearly anything. I have a wide array of musical interests (one of my degrees is in music), passion for both the performing and visual arts (I dance), borderline obsession with science fiction, sincere love for being outdoors (I'm a Midwestern country girl, you can take the girl out of the country...), enjoyment of (polite) political discussions, a constant desire to learn about or experience something new, and a spirit for trying anything where I could become gravely injured (yes, thrill junkie, stock car racing, working on my pilot's license, scuba diving, cliff jumping, skydiving, the bigger the horse the better... love adrenaline). I strongly believe in taking care of yourself both physically and mentally. I prefer to be out in nature while exercising, not in a gym, so a run on the beach or an afternoon of kayaking are preferred workouts. I love long distance running;A. But as I also have a deep and passionate relationship with food, I will always have curves (and I love them!). I find traveling to be a great source of relaxation, escaping from one world and discovering another. I’ve been to nearly 30 countries (tratando de visitar todos los paises que hablan espanol) and lived in four. Going hand in hand with taking care of body and mind is that I’m vegan (vegetarian for 15 and, trying my best to be, vegan for almost 10). My compassion for animals makes it impossible for me to support factory farming, the meat industry, and any enslavement of animals. Being with someone who has the same point of view is essential (so, are you a vegetarian or vegan?). I can't adequately express the enthusiasm and devotion I have for my profession, education. It breathes life into me and forces me to realize that no matter how horrid our world might be, there is hope for the future. I truly put my heart and soul into my craft and also realize my life should not be centered around my job. I am an educator, it is part of what makes me who I am. Connected to experiences gained through my profession, I'm firm in my belief that IF I'm ever to become a mother, it will only be through adoption. This world has too many children who are not being taken care of for me to justify bringing another life into it. Just like being vegan, this is something I feel extremely passionately about. If the above didn't terrify you (hey, you're still reading), drop me an *** than just a comment about my smile :) Best of luck to you! As long as we're able to chat and get to know one another, then the details of the first date are somewhat irrelevant.

Hello!I live by the motto: live by the why not and not the what if. Im a bit clumsy and can laugh at myself because of it, I can roll with the punches and I am very comfortable in front of a crowd. I like being my own individual and you do too but we also like each others company. My sarcasm is witty, not witless. I enjoy music, conversation, coffee, outdoor adventures, brewpubs and live music venues. Robots are cool and trains even cooler.I like to live life and would like to find someone to enjoy the little moments with, whether its out grabbing a tasty microbrew or on an adventure. I am doing the online thing as I am sure you are for the general reasons that happen as you get older: Friends move away, get married yadda yadda, which leaves you (and me) the sole single person left in a world of couples. I'm ready to find someone who wants to make that "connection" and to have fun with and if we make each other laugh that's a huge bonus!PS taking photos of yourself with your camera phone in the mirror and bad grammar = FAIL... Just sayingI love pop culture trivia. I know sounds dull right? well don't think that! That just means that I know my movies, music and history (some sports but don't quote me) so when are we playing scrabble? I think the first date should start off small, a coffee, a dinner or an event. If you have not met yet first meetings usually either go super well and lead to additional dates, or the person is just not what you expected once you get them in a room with coffee. Its about that initial personal connection when you meet, which sometimes may not come across on the screen via *** it clicks, then on to bigger and better adventures!

I love to be spontaneous, live life and have fun. I hit the gym on a regular basis and it would be awesome to have a workout buddy. Drop me a line if you want to know more.

Hi...if you're reading this...thanks for stopping to look. So, I'll just list a few things about me...1. My hobbies include: reading, hanging out with family and friends, pretty much anything sci-fi, playing munchkin or magic the gathering, cooking for people, camping, fishing, canning and prepping, gardening...2...I would love to be a stay at home mom...living off the land.3. What make me unique? What you see...is not what you get...I have many layers, not necessarily complex, but maybe a bit mysterious. This is a really tough question...because I'm my worst critic. So I'm moving on to the last one...4. In terms of music...I pretty much like it all...except for rap. I grew up on show tunes...but I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. I like going out to eat, so a nice dinner somewhere would be great. That way we can talk and get to know one another.
